Crash Diet!!!

Ok ladies, I know some people will try to b*tch me out for this but I need a crash diet or cleanse that will help me lose a few lbs by Saturday. PLEASE, spare me your lectures, yes I know it will be mostly water weight, I will gain it right back, it is not healthy, blah blah blah. If you are going to criticize just save your fingers the energy. I am well aware of how to lose "real" weight, the "right" way to eat etc etc but right now I am only concerned with squeezing my a$$ into this non-refundable, 70 dollar halloween costume that I bought online and is clearly like an XXS, not a S, without looking like a sausage. Please not that maple syrup thing that some people do because I just can't see sticking to that for more than an hour. Thanks mamas!!

master cleanse.........you will gain the weight back though crash diets dont work(ill spare you the rhetoric). The master cleanse will keep you healthy while you lose it with adequate nutrients .......... and that is why i recommend it.

Oh wait......you just said NOT the maple syrup thing.........whoops.

Do you have the money to hit the spa? Sea weed wraps temporarily shed that water weight...

My grandma would just drink watered down 100% fruit juice for a couple days to drop a few pounds. Hope you find something that works for you...good luck!!!

You might be able to find that "hollywood diets" stuff at the GNC or pharmacy. I think it includes diuretics which will take off even more water weight.

no soda, no salt, just water and fresh fruit and veggies, raw, with nothing on them. you can also do the juice fast, it is not the best, but you will slim down temporarily.

No sugar, no flour, no "white" (rice/ potatoes) go easy on oil/butter and go easy on meat. You will probably lose 2-5 lbs this week doing that. Also try to get in some exercise this week and drink lots of water. I find that I walk taller , hold in my stomach better and have less bloating by doing those things, which may help you fit better into your costume.

Try Googling the "cabbage soup diet". I remember being on that thing years ago. I did drop a lot of weight quickly, but I can't even look at cabbage anymore. Blech!

Atkins Induction Phase:

Keep net carbs under 20 g per day
net carbs = Total carbs - fiber - sugar alcohols

You can buy some Atkins snack bars or shakes from Walgreen's
No breads, beans, rice, pasta, sugar, milk, ketchup (nothing with high fructose corn syrup)

You could try the "cabbage soup diet" :

But as far as I can tell- the best "quick loss diets" usually consist of drinking or eating tons of non-starch vegetables, broths, and loads of water. Fruit juices are ok... except they can have a large sugar content.

I am going to give you a disclaimer though- On almost any "quick" loss diet you will be running to the bathroom A LOT. You'll also probably feel fatigued and hungry as heck on day 2 or 3... but it will get better. Yes, "crash diets" are not good for you - but honestly... doing a few in your lifetime will ruin you either- After any diet like these... try to GRADUALLY increase you calories to avoid "yo-yo-ing" too much.

Because you are not really losing "fat" there really is no guarantee that you wont still look like a "sausage" in your costume. -if the day draws near and you don't look better- go to grandma's standby and throw on a girdle or slimmer!

I would try Spanx, drink nothing but water and a good deal of it, cut out as much sugars as you can. You're not going to loose very much even with crash dieting. I think Spanx is the best bet.

I lost 16 pounds the first week with the "6 Week Body make over".

If I follow the diet, I loose weight. The first wek was 16 pounds. The second week it was 4 pounds, the third week was 5 pounds. I lost three pants sizes by the end of the third week.

Its on the internet.

What kind of costume is it? I'd try to work on the costume and not me. Is there an area that's not visible that you can remove the seams and extend it with a strip of similar color cloth?

Go to the nordstrom lingerie department and buy the short overall body suit really small size take costume with u.. Whenever I wear these people think I have lost 10lbs.. Kind of spendy around 80 bucks but I wear mine all the time from short dresses to low rise jeans. Just be sure not to throw in the dryer hang dry.. they have all different styles too.

Where do you live? There is a place called Nekter Juice Bar in Corona del Mar on PCH and in Costa Mesa on 17th street. They sell cleanses there. You lose 1-3 lbs a day. It's awesome. It's just all natural pressed juices. You can do anywhere from a 1-day to a 5-day cleanse. Hope it works out.

Don't know how much you'll lose by Saturday since that's only 4 days away, but I'd say give the South Beach Diet a shot! If you start this morning, you could possibly lose up to 5 pounds. Just looking it up online will give you enough details to move forward.

I would try a "Beiler" soup fast. In good filtered water, boil zucchini, celery, green beans, parsley and if desired, a little cayenne. Boil until veggies are just soft. Blend liquid and veggies into a creamy soup and sip it all day.
