Mint leaves
You boil the cranberries, sugar and juice. Then add oranges and garnish with mint leaves. Super easy and really yummy.
What is your favorite cranberry relish recipe? I've never made it before. Is this one of those recipes you make days ahead & taste better the longer it sits? Thank you for sharing!

I just made this 2 years ago(we never had it before my hubby) and it's great! It's my MIL's recipe...I don't know why it took my hubby 8 years to get me to make this! So yummy!
1 bag cranberries
2 apples
1 tall can crushed pineapple
2 c sugar
1 small box of raspberry jello
1 small box of lemon jello
Chop cranberries and stir in sugar. Chop apples and add to cranberries. Drain pineapple the best you can into a measuring cup. Add the pineapple to cranberry mixture. Boil 2 cups of water and add both jellos and stir till dissolved. Cool with drained off pineapple juice and enough water to equal 1 cup. Pour into cranberry mixture. Refrigerate when done...it freezes great too!
1 pkg. cranberries
2 apples
1 orange include 1/2 of outer rind or peeling finely ground or grated,
Grind or chop finely all the fruit in food processor
Add 2 cups sugar
Prepare raspberry or cran-raspberry jello, 1 cup boiling water, 1/2 cup cold water. For more firm, use less water to make the jello.
let cool but not set before adding the fruit mixture.
May add nuts and may substitute pineapple for the orange.
Very close to Kane's recipe, never thought about freezing, but never lasted long enough to try that, thanks for the tip.
This can be made in a mold, great also served with cottage cheese and good also when topped with sour cream/cream cheese/whipped topping mixture.
I just open the can and dump it in a bowl! lol! Good luck!
I use the recipe on the back of the Ocean Spray cranberries bag. SUPER easy and SUPER good. It freezes well too!!
If I recall from memory..... 1 cup water and 1 cup sugar to boil, add the bag of washed berries, bring to boil, turn heat down, stir and simmer about 10 minutes, then pour into bowl.
There are a lot of variations you can do for this.... we like the simple recipe and it has always been a hit for me!
We love cranberry sauce... I used to get the can of gelled sauce and slice it which is not bad but once you make this and see how easy it is, you'll do it again!!
Whole cranberries (I use the Ocean Spray Whole Cranberry type), mandarin oranges (slices) and chopped walnuts.
YUMMY!!
I make it the day before or the day of.
Good luck!

This is a recipe I have used for a few years and it is a hit. I cut it in half though.
Good Luck and Happy Thanksgiving!

I actually like the jelled stuff in a can. But, I've made one with whole cranberries, pears, five spice, and cardamom before and it rocked. You can find the recipe on epicurious.
My family, of course, didn't like it. They like the cranberry with orange relish (which I don't like). To each their own...
If you're brave you could try Mama Stamberg's cranberry relish. It has onions and horseradish, among other things, and turns a peptol bismol pink. It sounds intriguing, though. Google it. You'll find it.

I use this one every year. It's fabulous the first day, but it's fabulous days later, too.
Hi M.---Depending on your tastes, I really recommend the cranberry chutney recipe I found on the food network. It is yummy...no, awesome. It has apples, raisins and pepper flakes in it. It's kind of weird as I have an unsatiable sweet tooth, but I never liked the sweetened cranberry relishes/sauces. In fact, I still have some in the fridge from last year at it is perfectly fine. So that answers the question of whether it tastes better the longer it sits...for this recipe anyway. Enjoy. D.
