Hello Ladies....
my 4 yr old daughter has VERY thick hair and lots of it. Lately I noticed around her "widows peak" area in the hairline is what appears to be cradle cap. I can pick it off...I can't imagine using the same stuff on her that I would have used on our babies...And I don't think she would even let me! lol
Any ideas?? Thanks a bunch.

What can I do next?

What I did when my daughter was about that age was when her hair was all soaped up, I then took a stiffer brush and brushed it. It was VERY messy with all the little pieces that break off. When the hair is dry, you can comb out the dry pieces and do it again in the next bath. Within a week, it should be gone.

When my daughter was about three she got cradle cap again.I still always make sure to wash her hair first and use fresh water to clean and rinse it. I also made sure to comb and dry it.

I am right with you my daughter is 5 yrs old and the thicker her hair grew in the worse the cradle cap got and she hates when I pick it. Someone told me about tea tree oil that wil loosen it up and make it easy to loosen up, but I found a tea tree shampoo with a mint smell and every night I scrub it in her hair in bath and it loosens it and seems to be working and however can make there hair dry so if you use this method use conditioner with it. You can purchase this shampoo at super cuts. Hope this helps

My daughter is 9 1/2 and still sometimes has issues with it. She is doing much better at scrubbing her head when using shampoo to loosen up the flakes. If it gets bad I'll comb her hair with a fine-toothed comb prior to bathing and she then is able to wash it out.

Also, make sure her hair is rinsed really well after washing/conditioning to eliminate buildup.

Don't be afraid to use fingernails on the scalp to get it loosened up, your daughter might even like the gentle massage on her scalp!
