Hi MyraD,
I would look into supporting her immune system with some good nutrition and Alkaline water to balance her PH in her body.
If you have any questions please feel free to email me.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving.

Are there any moms out there that have had any experience with the coxsackie virus? My daughter is 4yrs. old and developed a high fever (103) and headache, and the very next morning she woke up with rash/sore like bumps all over her legs, buttocks, and arms. The pediatrician said it's of the hand, foot and mouth family, but couldn't positively narrow it down. Her symptoms did not include any blisters in her mouth.

Yes, both my children and friends kids have had Hand Foot Mouth. It is a common childhood issue. One thing I noticed is that it can manifest itself different in each child. My daughter never had mouth sores but did have hand and foot blisters horribly (but the blisters are not painful - she was 2 and didn't even know they were there). My son on the other hand, we discovered his with him not wanting to eat because of the mouth sores.
It is contagious, but there is nothing you need to do to treat it or prevent it. I think your only concern is dehydration if they don't want to nurse or drink fluids because of the mouth sores. There may be a danger to pregnant women who are exposed.
THe other responder sounds right about it being roseola. HFM has bumps that look like blisters, red sometimes with a clear head. Roseola looks more like a flat skin rash. Either way though, I think if your daughter has already developed the rash, there is not much you can do about it except make sure she is comfortable while she rides out the virus.
Never heard what your speaking of, Im not a dr. by any means but I think it could be roseola. High fever for a day or two followed by a rash, for a day or two, try googling it to get more info.
Best of luck.

My son has had both the coxsackie virus AND roseola. His sores were in his mouth and he had a high fever for a couple of days before we even noticed the sores. Our doctor said it would just run its course and to just keep him hydrated. Same thing with roseola. He had a fever and was really sluggish for a day or two and then a rash appeared on his torso. The rash didn't bother him though. Apparently both are very common in little kids.
