You can bring milk/juice as long as it is in a sippy cup. They will not make you throw it away.
Hi Everyone.
I'll be traveling with my daughter to Russia this Thursday.
I was wondering if anyone knows how to handle the "milk situation". My last air trip was 5 years ago and I remember that nobody was allowed to bring liquids through the security gate and it happened each time I changed planes. Does it apply to the baby's milk? Do they have milk on the plane? We are flying American Airlines. Any advice for powder substitutes? She won’t drink formula.
Thank you in advance.

There are exceptions to the "no liquids" rules for babies. Check the airline website or phone them and ask for specifics. I'm pretty sure you can bring anything, but they may want it in clear plastic bags or such.
Looking at the AA site, they refer you to this page for specifics:

My read of it is that they *may* say that only breast milk counts since you can buy milk after you go through security, but if you say it's breast milk, they promise not to check. :)
Call the airline for specifics, but I know you are allowed to bring liquids, but there may be a limit on the quantity. Have a great flight.
Hi E.,
We just traveled with our son who is still on formula and I had water in three of his bottles and one bottle with the formula already made. The security staff let me keep the formula but they poured out the water. Interesting but true. What she told us at the time was that if you bring 'made' baby food you can take it with you - so milk would obviously count here. I had 8 ounce bottles which exceeds their 4 ounce liquid limit. Keep everything with the diaper bag and you might want to still put them in a ziplock as per their rules regarding liquids, I did not but as others have said every airport is different. I flew out of Orange County. Changing planes will be no problem except customs of course. It is definitely worth checking for sure as others have said.
Have a wonderful trip.

Hello E.,
We have flown to Australia twice and both times they had milk. I cant remember if it was whole milk or 2%, but both times my toddler drank it no problem. They flight attendants were super helpful and even asked if we wanted it warmed up. With babies on long flights, the flight attendants are usually go out of their way to help you.
Good Luck!

With children, you can bring milk, juice, water, whatever. Double check with your airline. When I fly with my girls, I pack a mini cooler with milk, juice and ice packs. You'll be fine!
