Cover Girl Lip Stain or a Good Gloss

I must say that I am a lip gloss girl but I have to reapply constantly. Has anyone tried the new Cover Girl lip stain. It says "sheer". Does it look glossy or like Kool-Aid stain? Also, if anyone has a good reccommendation on a great lip gloss that stays on, I'd love to hear it. No offense to all of my skin-care friends (Avon, Mary-Kay, Arbonne, etc..) but I prefer to buy from the store.

What can I do next?

I like the lip stain - although like anything else, it doesn't last on me like they say it will, I like the fact my hair doesn't stick to my lips, and it has a good color.
it is not glossy at all, if you wanted gloss you could apply it over it.

I love the stain. They do dry out your lips a bit, but if you keep the chapstick handy it helps. I know that seems to defeat the purpose of the stain and not having to reapply, but I like because it has the constant color vs color for 20 minutes reapply.
One thing I don't like about the stain is getting it off at the end of the night. But I discovered the lip buffer from Bath and Body Works soooooooooo well at getting it off. So I then made my own sugar scrub and it works just as well and 1,000 times cheaper. Just my two cents.

I have the Cover Girl lip stain and it's very sheer and matte. No gloss at all. I thought it would last longer than it did and found I still had to retouch by mid-day. I will put lip gloss over lipstick sometimes, but have yet to find one that lasts.

OK, so I have the Cover Girl and The Revlon "just bitten" and they both dry out my lips so I find that I am putting gloss over them anyways. I can not wear lipstick b/c it changes color on me but the stains do not change color. It can be sheer depending on the color and what you are looking for. I typically apply to bottom lip purse my lips together and then touch up in small spots and then apply gloss. The "Just Bitten" brand comes with a lip balm on the other end and that does make it where I do not feel the need to gloss. I reccomend before applying use your toothbrush and brush your lips well if they are typically dry then use some sugar to scrub too (great exfoliant) then wait about 5 min and apply to lips but it rubs off in a tme frame simmilar to lipstick.
