Hi L., We used ViaCord, a company used by several friends and family members and also recommended by our ob/gyn. My experience so far with the company has all been great.
Hi, I was wondering if anyone could give me any info on the company they used for cord blood processing. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

I used Lifebank after a lot of research I decided to go with them as they all seemed to be very good. The reason I chose them is b/c they are here in NJ vs somewhere else they also allow you to store additional stemcell collected from your placenta which is your count on viable cells. If you decide not to store your babies cord blood they still have a very good donor's program and if you donate and God forbid you need stemcells a courtesy will be extended to the child and you can get your stemcells back provided they have not used them if they have they will try to find a match. They also have a very good referal program, if you go through a referal you will get a discount and a free year of storage, the person that referred you will also get 1 year of free storage. Hope this helps.

We used Viacord and were very pleased with them. I did a tremendous amount of reseach, my husband's sister died of leukemia- and Viacrd it seemed had the most studies and seemed to be the most reputable- most of my friends that decided to preserve cord blood used Viacord as well. Good luck!
Hi, I had twins in May 2004 and used viacord..they are the largest co. and most innovative in cord blood research...the representative was at the hospital when I delivered and came to pickup the blood.everything went well...Good luck!!
