I have some photographs that I'd like to make copies of. Is there a place where I can take the originals and either scan them or copy them? Thanks so much!!

What can I do next?

If you want them on photo paper take them to Walmart, Target or Walgreens or if you just want them on regular paper then try Staples, Office Depot or Office Max and use their color copier. Also check out Fedex Kinkos too. They have color copiers there too.

places lilke walmart and walgreens usually run between 10 cents and 50 cents for each 4x5 copy if that helps. they have a kiosk you can do it yourself it's pretty easy or ask for help and assosicate can do it for you, it literally takes minutes and you'll have your copy. but don't try to do it on pictures that were taken professioanlly that is illegal, you can do snapshots you have taken though.

I scan and copy photos that I have.

You can also take them to Target or an office supply store and they can scan print as well. I don't know the costs of that though.

Are these photographs you have taken - not professional ones? That will make a difference!!

Do you have a digital camera? That's how my son got around WM not letting my mom copy a photo that was more than 50 years old (photo place long out of business - aunt long dead) ... he took a picture of that photo and then took the card into the kiosk!

I remember the first time I went to Walmart to use their machine to copy pictures so I could do scrap-booking. I was going along and the man behind the developing desk came around and took my copies and tore them up! He threw them in the trash can inside the booth. I asked him why he did that and he told me I was infringing on copyrites. I was confused for sure. He told me I didn't take the pictures I was copying and they had stamps on them of the owners of the photos. I referred to the Olan Mills ones and asked "Do you mean these?" and he said yes. I told him they were over 30 years old and the company was moved away. He felt bad then...I had such a hard time with that though.

I think most of these places do a fine job on the copies nowdays. I have a color printer but it's so much work and takes so much of one color or another of ink. It's lucky for us that they do these copies at reasonable prices now.
