Confused!

Same thing happened to me! I took about 4 home tests and finally made a doctors appointment. I took a home test the day before my appointment and it was negative. I went to the doctor, peed in a cup and plain as day it was positive! I was 4 weeks along. I would set up an appointment if I were you...it's always good to get a second opinion : ) Good luck!!!

I'm 45 year old now and my daughter is 26. It was a long time ago but when I was late like 5 months late and went to the dr. did a test and they said I was not pregnant I told them I was and they did a blood test. Yes it showed I was. Then for my son that is now 20, it took us 6 years to have him. Go to the doctor.

Try taking a pregnancy test where you pee in a cup. The first two stick tests that I took were negative. I got a positive result with a cup test. I think the stick tests can have problems if too much urine gets on the stick or if the wrong part of the stick gets wet. The cup doesn't have the same issues. I can't remember the name of the test...it was Simple something. Or, if you can't find a cup test, you can pee in a normal disposable cup and dip the tip of a stick test in the cup.

Hello, I agree with everyone that said to go have blood work done, that way you know for sure. It took my husband and I over a year and a half before we had our first son and only a couple of months with our second. We just had our second child on June 4th. I hope that you are pregnant! Absolutely go to the Doctor and get a blood test! I took 5 home tests with my youngest (1yr) and they all came out negative. I just knew I was pregnant, and sure enough...

I agree with those who said get the blood work done. That is the only way to know for sure. With my first child I just knew I was pregnant, but the 5 pregnancy tests I took all said negative. Finally, one said yes. And as I understand it - you can have false negatives, but not false positives. I'd call your OB. Good luck!

Go to your regular physician and tell him you want a blood test to check for pregnancy. Sometimes early on that is the only way it appears and they are much more accurate. Good Luck!

Please go to a doctor and have a blood test done! Sometimes HPTs are not working well. I'm going throu IVF right now, wishing u the best of luck and babydust.

OTC tests are pretty accurate, I can understand that you want to be pregnant and I sympathize ((hugs)) There is a such a thing as a hysterical pregnancy ( terrible name I know ) it basically causes your body to act pregnant because you think you are? If that makes sense. I would still make an appt with my doctor if your cycle doesn't start soon as it could be a sign that something is wrong. May just be stress though, I envy that you are usually so regular...my period has never been regular. I hope that you concieve soon and that you have a healthy happy pregnancy.

I would for sure go to the doctor and have them check your blood to see if you are or not!! That's the best way to know!

Definatly get blood work done. I don't want to scare you, but you could have a tubal preganacy. Then again, you could be pregant and everything is fine. I would make an appointment as soon as possible. It will help you relax knowing you have an appointment to see what's up. I am sorry to say I have been where you are. It took us five years. If a pregnancy test is positive, it CAN be a false positive. However, if it is negative, it is negative. You may have something else going on that is making your period late, but if u took that many and all were negative, you aren't pregnant. Good luck with everything

I had a friend that this had happen to. The women in her family had a history of taking at home pregnancy test and and all of them would come back negative. So they had to go to the doctor and have a blood pregnancy test done. You should try that.

I totally agree about the blood test. It will make you feel better to know for sure!

The doc can do a Blood sreum test for you.Very accurate.I had a negative test years ago and the blood serum was positive .also your ob/gyn can check for bladder infections also sometimes it will throw the test off if you have a UTI.best wishes and God Speed.

A blood test will tell you for sure. I am pregnant with my 4th and I have never been able to get a positive pregnancy test until my 2nd trimester with any of my pregnancies. The doc can also do a trans-vaginal ultrasound that would tell you for sure. Good luck!!

it could be a lot of things. unfortunately, our bodies just do weird things and decide to be weird sometimes. its also possible that you just ovulated late and are pregnant and just dont have enough hormone to show up yet. its possible that you are going to just skip a period, that happens sometimes. its possible that you want to be pregnant so bad that you are having a pseudo pregnancy. there are a lot of possibilities. just keep testing every 3 or 4 days and if you get really worried, then seek out your doctor.
