I.K.
If you're just looking for a place, I know the Northwest Cafe rents their space out. They are located at Northwest Highway and Raven in the old "train station". It's really cute inside. Good luck.
Anyone have an idea of where to hold a confirmation party on the northwest side of the city -Edison Park/Norwood Park/Oriole Park

I have heard the Tam Golf Course (Howard Street) in Niles has a separate dining room for larger parties and is suppose to be nice. Large enough if you want a DJ etc. Good luck.
My Bridal Shower was at Blackhorn Manor and it was really nice. I've never been to a private party at Nonno Pino, but have had dinner there a few times and it's also good.

We have used Blackthorn Manor a few times for different things, showers, my parents 45th, our son's un-wedding dinner (long story). They are wonderful and have great food and different ways and price ranges. Here is their info:

There are two good Italian restaurants in Edison:
Nonno Pino's and Zia's
Dino's on Higgins does a great job with family parties! The service is very friendly, the food is great, and it's pretty reasonably priced! It is not a super-fancy place though, so if you are looking for something upscale, this wouldn't be a good fit. However, if your party will be more relaxed, this is a great spot! Dino's is on the north side of Higgins just a few blocks east of Harlem. Good luck with your event!
Nonno Pino's is wonderful and I've seen baptisms or showers thrown there and I also did a baptism party at Al Primo Canto in Edgebrook on Devon.
We just had a baby shower and a 40th wedding anniversary party at Coletti's on Elston. The food was good at both events, and the party rooms are newer since they recently remodeled. I've also been to parties at Moretti's that were casual but fun. Good luck.
