Comfortable Nursing Bra Suggestions

My favorite nursing bra is no longer being made by Motherhood Maternity. I have dozens of others, but NONE of them are comfortable. I need something with light support, no underwire and something that fastens (i.e. not the kind that you just push down the side you're nursing from). I also want something that has bra straps, and not any kind of racerback. Anyone wear anything that fits the bill? Thanks.

What can I do next?

Another vote for Bravada. You can also try them on at Methodist hospital, in the shop/lactation area. Loved mine.

I love, love this one, It's a sleeping bra, but has smaller straps, good support and super comfy I ended up buying 4 of them. I also love that the top looks like you just have an undershirt on if your top shirt gets pulled down a little.

Bravado! Seriously good nursing bras. They are really durable, really comfortable, really supportive and last forever. They're pricey, so be prepared - somewhere in the $35 - $40 range. But they are SO great, also because they come in "small medium large" that is meant to accommodate a mini-range of breast sizes for moms whose breasts will - for example - start out as a C-cup just before birth, balloon up to a DD+ within a week or so of birth, and then adjust back to a C or less-ish as you breastfeed for months or longer. I HIGHLY recommend.

I just now saw that you said 'no racerback'. The Bravado that I like are a combo racerback/regular bra straps style. But they may make others, as well. I wouldn't let the racerback style put you off, though. They are fabulous.

Honestly, I felt that the tank tops that have the built in "bra" were the best. I could just pull it down when needed and didn't need to be adjusted or fastened like the Medela. I also didn't have huge boobs so I think if you are c cup or smaller, this would work. I got my favorite tank top at the Limited.

This is THE most comfortable nursing bra I had in over 2 years of nursing 2 different babies. http://www.bravadodesigns.com/product.asp?ID=109&area=US In fact it is so good, I am still wearing it as aregular bra, 7 months after weaning my last baby.

Try going to Peapods on St. Clair and Snelling and try some on. They have a nice selection, and I LOVED my Bravado. I think it would suit your needs well. VERY comfortable and no underwire.

I got mine at Target too. I actually didn't get bras, but tanks. They fasten on each side and have adjustable straps, no underwire. I -think- they're the gilligan omally brand someone else mentioned. I liked them because they were comfy to wear under something as well as by itself at night, they wear kind of like a sports bra in terms of stretchiness and no racerback. It was between 11-15 bucks. I can't remember exactly because it was about a year ago. Try one of them and see if you like them first though! I stocked up on another one from Walmart and hated them.

I had the same problem myself. I found nursing tanks did the trick. It had great elastic support under the bust, and was easy to unhook on either side when nursing. I chose the brands out of Target by Gilligan O'Malley. They were longer and very soft. I also bought nursing sports bras. Those worked out great as well. Very practical and comfortable. I hope that helps and good luck.

I ended up with two fancy expensive nursing bras I bought at the hospital after delivery... and I hated both of them! I ended up wearing my Target-bought nursing bras over and over. The brand is Gilligan & O'Malley -- satiny and soft, with nice clasps and good support, no wires.

I have a DUO brand from JC Pennys that I believe fits your requirements. They are very comfortable and I may even wear once I stop nursing. :)

I actually got a nursing bra at Wal-Mart and it's so comfortable. I'm a DD and hate underwire. This bra has everything you were describing.

Shoot, you don't want a racerback. I was going to suggest sports-bras. I've never nursed in anything else. I tried every nursing bra under the sun and none were as comfy or convenient as a sports bra. I just pull it up on the side we're nursing on. Easy, peasy, lemon squeezy! :)

I bought mine at Target for $12.99 on sale - Gilligan O'Malley brand. They're not fancy but they are comfortable, they fasten and have regular bra straps.
