Before I see a movie, I look at http://www.commonsensemedia.org/
They have detailed information about what is in the movie. I find it very reliable.
Peace,

Anyone seen Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs yet? If so, what did you think? Is it appropriate for a 6 and 3 year old?

You might try plugged in online for movie reviews. I check with them before going to the movies to get a feel as to what to expect. Here's a link

Hi, L.! Yes, the movie's appropriate for both ages, though the 3-year-old won't "get" some of the humor. There's alot of physical humor that they'll both enjoy, though.

We took our 3 year old and he loved it. He laughed out loud many times. He completely enjoyed it and I would recommend it.
L. - We actually went and saw it this morning. I have two boys - ages 5 and 8. They both loved it. I thought it was a great movie - very funny, no slow parts really. There were lots of kids there - all ages. I didn't think there was anything inappropriate in the movie. Hope that helps!
Yes I saw it this weekend with my eigth year old and four year old daughters. I think it was age appropriate for them both. My eight year old had read the book so she wanted to see if the movie was similar so she really enjoyed it. My four year old didn't really seem to care one way or the other.
I took my 6 year old daughter to see it yesterday and she LOVED it. She laughed out loud and sat through the entire movie entertained. She left saying that we had to buy that movie.
Thanks for posting the question... I was curious about this as well.
We saw it last night and I thought it was really cute! I think your six year-old will love it. As long as your 3 year-old is overly fearful, she will probably enjoy it, too. Toward the end, when the food is "mutating," it might be a little scary. I could see my 2 year-old niece enjoying it, though, and laughing about the great big food.
