I give tickets as gifts all the time, but I always create a puzzle/riddle for them to solve to guess what they're going to see. It's fun and can get everyone in on the guessing!

A team jacket? Then put the tickets in a pocket? Most of us when we try on a jacket for the first time automatically put our hands in the pockets?

I like the idea of putting them inside something related to the team..foam finger would be great! Or inside socks, something kinda boring would make it funny (socks? wow, um, thanks. But wait!) =)

Or you can fit them inside a baseball cap, I know guys sometimes put things there, in the spot above the bill inside. Something team related will be a nice hint, then he will find them inside! Check the team store! Or inside a Philly Cheesesteak place gift certificate? LOL

Go to the team's website (or local stores that carry team merchandise) and buy some trinkets with the team logo. A pen. A foam finger. A keychain. Chapstick even?
Then wrap them and let him open them and wonder ...
Then let the last one be a Tshirt or ball cap, and have the tickets inside the item.

Get him a big foam hand, or a seat cushion.. things that will make him go, "hmmmm?" when he unwraps them. Then, the last gift, wrap up the tickets in a small box, put that in a larger box, put that in a larger box... so he will have like 3 or 4 boxes to open to get to his tickets.

Not sure if it's been suggested yet, but what about getting a tshirt or jersey for that team, and attaching the tickets to that? I've done this with hockey and football tickets, and it works pretty well.

This may be totally silly to do but what about getting about 3-4 scratch off lotto tickets and putting them in an envelope with the tickets? Make him do the scratch offs right when he opens the envelope and then he will get to the tickets and be totally shocked!

Or you could tape them to the bottom of the remote, lol.

This might be a horrible idea, but when I got baseball tickets for my husband, I waited until he did something wrong and yelled "YOU'RE OUT!!!", then handed him the tickets. Good luck :)
