Mr Clean magic erasers work good on grout, too. Depending on how large the room is, you may want to plan on using about 2 boxes. Also, Lowe's has some great grout cleaners that are good for colored grout.
Has anyone tried to clean their bathroom grout? How did you go about doing it?
Also, we'd like to move our dryer over next to our washing machine, but the electrical cord isn't long enough. Does anyone know if you can buy an extension cord for that sort of funky outlet? or would we just have to have an electrician come in and move the outlet over closer to the washing machine?

Grout:
I use liquid comet or soft scrub and a title brush-you can find it with the regular cleaning stuff.
Fill a bucket up with warm water for rinsing. Apply the comet to the lines of and get the brush wet, scrub the cleaner into the grout. Do small sections at a time. Then go back over with a mop or even an old towel to get the cleaner off.
As far as the outlet. You would need to have the outlet moved. It could be possible to have a longer cord installed on your dryer.
There is a product at the Dollar Tree stores called Awesome. I can tell you that it is awesome. Prior to moving, I cleaned all the tile grout in my house with awesome and a toothbrush. The real estate agents thought we had installed new floors!
I don't know about the dryer extension, but would ask about it at your local hardware or appliance store before moving an outlet.
As for your grout, I use a clorox bleach pen. There's a larger spout on one end and a smaller one on the other. The small spout allows me to put the perfect amount of bleach gel directly on the grout lines in my shower. I leave it overnight then just use the shower nozzle to rinse it off and down the drain. It always looks like I've just had the shower retiled! On the foor, I use the larger nozzle of the bleach pen (grout lines are wider), Leave it for a couple of hours, then use a sponge mop to wipe it off. Of course, I've got white grout. I've never used the bleach pen on any other color of grout. Hope this helps. Good luck!
I wouldn't mess with moving the outlet. When you buy a new dryer you have to purchase a power cord because there are different electrical outlets for dryers. Because of this, all you have to do is go to Handyman or Home Depot & purchase a longer cord. To make sure you get the correct size, just take a string or regular extension cord to measure the distance from the dryer to the outlet. Then measure the cord. After you purchase the new cord it is pretty easy to remove & replace the new cord. (They can show you at Handyman.) If you feel uncomfortable, just call a dryer repairman & have him clean out the inside of your dryer while he is there. You'd be surprised how much lint gets stuck inside the dryer!
regarding the grout: My Mom just bought an old house that was fully rehabbed about 10 years ago and when she moved in it looked as if the grout in her kitchen floor had never been cleaned since it was installed! We checked with a tile shop and they suggested some kind of acid and then something that gets painted on and scrubbed off... the acid was scary b/c she has a dog she was afraid might walk on it. I happened to be there one day cleaning with Windex in another area of the house, went to the kitchen for something and got awild noodle and decided to try Windex on the grout in the kitchen floor tile and it worked! I sprayed it on the grout and scrubbed it with a little brush she had and it got the grout VERY clean!
