Any suggestions/ guidelines for Christmas/ End of Year presents for the daycare ladies. I have two older ladies who take care of the babies in the early morning period until the two teachers arrive. Then also would like to give something to the Director. Not sure what the norm is here as far as Christmas/ End of Year gift/ tip (have read one week's wage but that is a bit much for me to afford!! especially for 5 people). Was thinking of gas gift cards (too boring?). Any suggestions on how to handle this would be great - thanks
What my daughter and I are doing for her Pre K teachers are baking some cookies. I got some cute little boxes for the cookies and I am letting her draw some pictures on it. Than I will put some wax paper in the box for the cookies and she can put a bow on it. I think they will like it cause it is something personal for her teachers.

Hi, we are giving our son's teachers (no less than three, lol) Netflix gift certificates. Their prices start as low as $5.99 for a month of netflix. I thought this would be a good clutter free gift they could enjoy with their families. Blockbuster has online movies, too, if you prefer them.

I taught preschool for 10 years and I was always happy if the parents at least acknowleged how hard we worked to keep their child safe and happy every day. It didn't matter if it was just a nice note in a card or even a large monetary gift, it was just nice to know that you were appreciated. Hope this helps!
I gave the teachers giftcards for ice cream last spring and they all loved them (they all have children). You could do giftcards to a movie theatre, starbucks, or just a scented candle in a pretty container.
