Do any of you ladies have any suggestions for a gift for a 10 month old? My daughter will be 10 1/2 months old around the Christmas season and I have no idea what to get her. She already has a few "big girl" toys (i.e. The Fisher Price Piano, Fisher Price Kitchen and a walking cart)..any suggestions?

What can I do next?

Fisher Price makes a wonderful bouncing zebra which my son got last christmas (he was 9 months old at the time) and he still loves it to this day. You can get her anything elmo, as most children in that age range through age 2 like him. He sings and dances- there's a pizza one out this year that is cute. Many some dvd's for her to watch- baby einstein, elmo, teletubbies. Maybe a little stroller and bed for her to eventually put her baby dolls in. Playskool makes a Busy Ball Popper that my kids loved at that age as well. That one is still being played with today, and my oldest is 4.

My suggestion is not to buy her anything.
She is small enough where she doesn't care anyway and trust me, with all their birthdays, christmas gifts from friends and family, she'll soon have more toys then she'll know what to do with.

I never buy anything for my kids. They still get a lot of toys from others..

We always put money in their accounts instead of spending it on more toys.. They will appreciate that more later...

How about blocks, Little People, Peek a blocks/ Roll a rounds pop-up/ musical books. See & say, Playskool's ball popper, ( These were all gift that my daughter got last X-mas & she had just turned 1. I'd look at Toy R Us & the Fisher Price websites for more ideas..

I would suggest things like any Fisher-Price Little People sets, board books that she can read (Target sometimes has them in the dollar section--then it doesn't matter if they get destroyed with teeth, rips, etc.!), her own deck of cards to play with, the chunky puzzles (again, Target has a good selection & the Melissa & Doug ones are great), and Lego Quatro blocks (bigger than Duplos). She might be a little young for some of the stuff now, but in a few months she'll start showing interest. Hope this helps!
