Hi Mama's

My poor hubby has had problems with his back for years, he's seen a few different Docs and Chiropractors (one weekly for a year) but he never seems to have any luck finding one who can get him fixed for good. He's only in his mid 30's and I worry that if he has this much pain now when he is healthy, what will he be like as he gets older? I'd really like him to get some good help and get rid of this once and for all. Can anyone recommened a good Doc or Chiropractor that could help him?

Thank you

yes, for one thing, i would (personally)ditch the chiropractor. i dont know what city or town you live in, but you could probably do a web search (for your area) for top dr.s. (he might not have a very good one right now. i would keep looking! the best of luck to ya!

I would recommend that he possibly makes an appointment with the Laser Spine Institute in Tampa. They are on Rocky Point Drive on the Courtney Campbell Causeway. They have some great docs there and everything is done right in that Tampa office. They have surgery and pain management out or that office. he may be a candidate for a minimally invasive surgery or possibly be able to get away with just some injections that will help. They did just do surgery on Hulk Hogan and he has been raving about them on the radio since!

My boyfriend is an excellent Osteopathic Physician. He was a massage therapist before he was a doctor, and he really does have a healing touch. He works at Morton Plant, but he has a private practice in Pinellas county as well. His name is Dr. Rob Koch. The private practice number is ###-###-####. If you cannot get an appointment quick enough, let me know via email and I will have him call you. He sometimes does house visits although he prefers the office.

by the way, osteopathic physicians do manipulations sort of like chiropractors, but a bit different. I have used both and I have to say I like the results from the osteopathy.

good luck,
A.

Looks like you got a lot of good responses.
I have started seeing Dr. Alton Gustafson who also does kinesiology with his chiropractic treatments. He looks for the source of the continued problem and makes recommendations based on this. When he does adjustments, he is not very aggressive with them so it doesn't feel as violent as the typical chiropractor does.
In my case, my lower back is keeping my neck from healing and in addition to periodic adjustments for now, I need to be stretching and doing yoga to help. Dr. Gustafson told me he tries to resolve issues as quickly as possible with the fewest number of visits.

Good luck! Hopefully one of these doctors listed will be the one for your husband!

Dr. Stolley, He is wonderful, and find the root of problems, not just cracking your back. He is a kinesiologist (I think I spelled it right) and helps with so many things. His number is ###-###-#### and he has a website that tells all about him which is the reason when someone reccommended him I started to go. He wants to heal, not just make money. Also, I was a gymnast as a teen, and have had back problems for years. I now only see him once every few to six months!!!

This is his website, read for yourself and see if it is what you are looking for. Good Luck

I have been going to Dr Scott Rubin,DC for over a decade. I have received Chiro, Acupuncture and Massage in his Clinic with excellent results. Cold Laser and Decompression sessions have been very successful for me. My whole family goes to him to keep feeling well. That includes my husband who is 61 y/o, my 16 y/o son with scoliosis and my 6 y/o daughter. My daughter's first visit to Dr Rubin was on the way home from the hospital when she was born! He was able to not only make sure her neck and back were alligned after birth but assist in stopping her constant diarrhea she had after antibiotic use in the hospital NICU. He gently massaged her ileo-cecal valve and Tah Dah!

Here is his website:
