I don't have allergy problems, but I know it's hard enough to get food on the table as is. I found this website for you - I hope it helps. It seems a little on the pricy side, but perhaps better than pulling your hair out...
Hi everyone,
I always feel so alone until I make a request. My two children both have food allergies. My daughter (so far), milk, eggs, whey, casein, all fish, orange, tree nuts, and peanuts. My son tree nuts and peanuts. I am trying to make breads for snacks so its healthy. I would like some recipes without using LARD. I would if anyone has a great recipe for banana bread or zucchini bread, pumpkin bread etc..
or cookies or cakes or anything...
Thanks so much Ladies

Hi C.,
I found the alternative recipe below online (As a note, I've also used yogurt instead of eggs in banana bread recipes- you could try rice or soy yogurt.)
In grad school, I was part of a lunch group with individuals who had combined food allergens that seemed to match what you listed- except we also had to avoid glutein and mushrooms. Wow! I certainly learned to be creative about nutritious lunches, and I have saved a few of the recipes (I think) that we did that were particularly yummy. If you want, you can email me at ____@____.com and I'll try to scan them and email them over.
Banana Bread
1 ½ very ripe bananas
½ cup chopped nuts (more if you like, we like pecans)- see below for allergy substitutions
¾ cup sugar
¾ teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
½ teaspoon baking soda
2 eggs (or egg substitute)
¼ teaspoon salt
1 ¼ cup brown rice flour
¼ cup vegetable oil
Grease pans and preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a bowl combine bananas, sugar, and vanilla. Mix for 1 minute.
Mix together brown rice flour, nuts, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large mixing bowl. Stir in banana mixture and the oil. Mix well (not too much though or when baked becomes too dense). If making muffins bake for 35 minutes, 2 loaf (4 x 8 pans) 40 to 50 minutes.
If bread comes out a little dry try mixing the combined batter a little longer, or add a bit more banana and/or try a little more oil.
Allergy Substitutions
For egg allergy use egg substitute (found in health food section of grocery store) for eggs.
For nut allergy omit nuts. Try toasted soy nuts.
Good people with a milk allergy, soy allergy, and corn allergy.
Modifications
Bananas can be replaced with anything from carrots to zucchini. (Try about 1 ½ cups)
Try adding ½ cup dried cranberries or raisins.
Try adding 1 teaspoon cinnamon, pumpkin or apple pie spice.
I always use this site when cooking for my siblings who have allergies - you can search recipes with some ingredients and without others:

You might also try using substitutes in a regular recipe - this site has some good ideas of what to substitute:

I've become a pro at making "crazy cake." It's a nut and egg free chocolate cake. You can find the recipe through allrecipes.com.
Hi,
I have some bread recipes on my website www.eatingwithfoodallergies.com. All of the recipes are wheat free and it looks like you are not avoiding wheat. You could still use the recipes but just use regular wheat flour and omit the xanthan gum in the recipe. I have a banana bread recipe that is pretty tasty and it can be made into muffins, too. Here is the link:

Hope that helps!
I am in the same boat you are:
Eggless Banana Bread
3 ripe bananas
1/4 c. vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla
½ c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 c. chopped walnuts or pecans (omit)
Mash bananas (overripe make the best bread). Add oil, vanilla and sugar. Mix well. Sift flour, salt and soda together and add to banana mixture with walnuts if using. Mix until flour is blended in but do not over mix.
Put into loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees F. for 45-60 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes in pan, then remove to rack to cool completely before cutting.
I have been collecting recipes for 3 yrs now and good recipes are hard to find.
