My sitter charges $46/day for my 1 yr. old twins...and that is quite reasonable for 2. She brings her 2 yr old son too so I figure she gets the best of both - she can make some money and doesn't have to put her own kid in childcare.
What us a fair price for childcare/babysitters 2 days a week 8-4:30? I want to make sure I'm not paying too much! Is 60/wk a good rate or is it cheap?

it depends. Is it an individual coming to your house? If so, that's really cheap- only $4/hour for 2 kids. I've paid $8 plus/hour for 2 kids.
not sure about group care at someone else's house.
You are blessed if this is what you are paying for childcare.
In my area presently rates are starting at $105 and up. That is for a typical part time rate of 3 days only. My current daycares charge $17.50/day for 4 days/week.
Hi L.. when compared to regular childcare it's a little low. Most daycares charge a full week for three days. For an infant around $150-$190 and for 2yr old about $100-$140 so you need to find the medium. But if you can find someone who does it cheaper,be sure to let me know I'm all about cheap!:)
If it's for both of your children it is a great rate. Usually it is around $25 per child per day which would be $100 a week. If it is for one child it is a average-a little bit high.
