My family is relocating to Illinois from out of state. We will be living in the Claredon Hills, IL area and are looking for good quality childcare. Our son is two and hasn't been exposed to a center however we ware open to that. Can anyone help?

Thanks!

Hi A.,
Our family used Au Pairs. We found it the best for many reasons including flexible scheduling + your child is able to follow his own schedule and interests, and you do not have to worry if he is sick, but it may not be practical for just one child. I would be your local coordinator, and you could check us out at:

You are moving into a great community.
You are welcome to contact me even if you decide not to take an AuPair.

Welcome to Clarendon Hills, a great place to live and raise a family. We take our son to Tutor Time daycare faciltiy in Downers Grove (close to your new home). Our son is 2 and has been there since turning 1 and we saw a HUGE developmental improvement upon him going there from an in-home daycare. Also, they have a referral plan so if you end up going there you could use my name and get a free week! Good luck!

We used Bright Horizons in Oak Brook for several years and were very happy. The staff is great. Welcome to the western suburbs.

Creme de la Creme in Westmont is great, that would be number one on my list of centers and it is very close to Clarendon Hills.

Hi A. - Welcome to the wonderful western suburbs! While I don't know of any care provider to recommend, I will recommend a website that I have had great luck with. www.care.com There is a cost to use it, but they will conduct background checks for you. Good luck to you!

I recommend Peter Pan of Westmont (Wesmont is the suburb directly west of Clarendon Hills). My son went there from the time he was 18 mos until he was 32 mos, when our 2nd son was born and I started to stay home. I've written a review of it, as well as answered a few questions about it from other moms on this site. Their website is www.preschools.net . I believe weekly tuition for the 2's classroom is $248/wk. My son loved his 2's teachers, Miss Stacy and Miss Gauri.
