I've just been offered a new job and need to start next week!?! I need to find quality childcare for my 18month old son. I'm interested in either a nanny, in-home daycare, or daycare center. Can anyone recommend something in the Schaumburg or Hoffman Estates area? My son's pretty easy-going, but still needs his two naps a day. :)

Contact College Nannies and Tutors. They may be able to help you in a pinch! As for finding care in 1 week...ask your neighbors...they are usually much better at knowing what is available close by and with real recommendations.
My babysitter in Hoffman Estates is wonderful but I don't know if she has openings. The number of kids varies day by day so I don't know what she is willing to take on. Our kids went to a Bright Horizons day care center in Schaumburg - there are a couple of locations, including at Roosevelt College and at Motorola (but open to the public). Our niece went to Goddard School, which is also a day care center, and it is by Higgins and Meacham. I would highly recommend Bright Horizons, and I know my sister was thrilled with Goddard.
