Do you all have a good chicken spaghetti recipe? I have never made it, but I tried it at a pot luck dinner recently and she would not share her recipe w/anyone. It was a "family secret recipe" I guess. I looked at allrecipes.com but they are all pretty different. I wanted one someone else has already tried. Thanks in advance!!!

Okay, I'm all about the quick and easy recipe. I got this recipe from my friend's mother and everyone loves it.
1 pound chicken breast (I normally grill mine, but it just depends on how you like it)
Cook 3/4 box of spaghetti noodles (I use whole wheat)
1/2 box velveeta cheese
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can chicken broth
1 can rotel
1 cup chedder cheese
Mix together the cooked chicken and cooked spaghetti. Add in the velveeta in small pieces. Mix together with the soup, broth, and rotel. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes, pull out of oven and spread shredded cheese over the top. Bake another 5 to 10 minutes.
My friend's mom would also add regular potato chips over the cheese for a crunch, but I try to make mine healther and stay away from the chips.
Good luck!

My "secret family recipe"!

onion
bell pepper
Sautee in butter until soft

combine:
1 can cream chicken
1 can cream mushroom
1 can small (early) peas drained
1 jar pimentos
2 cups ( eyeball it) shredded cheddar
Onion
Bell pepper
boiled egg noodles ( i like the broad noodles best)
salt/pepper to taste
I use a whole boiled chicken picked from the bone, but you can just used boiled chk breast if you dont want dark meat. I think the dark meat gives a better flavor, I've done it both ways.

bake at about 350 for 20-30 min until the top noodles are crispy

My grandmother made this my entire life, its my favorite!

This is the one I received from the wonderful cooks at Chapelwood years ago. It also freezes well.

4-5 cups cooked chicken 2 cloves garlic
1 cup each: chopped celery, onion, green pepper
2 cans tomatoes 2 cans tomato sauce
2 Tbsp. chicken fat 1 Tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. paprika 1 can mushrooms
Chicken broth 1 package thin spaghetti,10 oz.
Grated cheddar cheese Stuffed green olives

Saute onion, pepper, celery, and garlic in chicken fat. Add tomatoes and tomato sauce. Mix chili powder with mushroom liquid to make a paste; stir into tomato mixture. Combine chicken, mushrooms, and seasonings, and cook slowly in sauce. Cook spaghetti in chicken broth until tender; drain, and add to mixture. Mix well. Top with grated cheese and sliced stuffed green olives.

Hello!!
My recipe is similar to the ones posted, but I like a little spice to mine. I use chicken, spaghetti, cream of mushroom, 1/2 box velvetta, rotell (mild or extra hot), fresh mushrooms, sour cream, plus I add a little cayenne pepper and cumin. I had to make this recipe a lot milder after I had my son, but make the rotel mild, and don't add cayenne pepper!!

I do something similar to those already posted. However, I add either a drained can of mild rotel or diced green chilis. It has to have a little bit of kick for me :) And don't over do it on the cheese.

Hi, My names Trish and I got this recipe from my aunt and my kids love it, and also it is really simple to make.

You will need 1 can of Campbells cream of celery, 1 can of Campbells Fiesta Nacho Cheese and 1 can of cream of mushroom. Simmer all of the cans together until warm. Cook your spagetti and boil chicken. Cut the chicken until small squares and then just pour the sauce over the spagetti and add the chicken and mix it all together. I sometimes add a can of mushroom pieces. I like to serve the spagetti with garlic bread and salad..I hope you enjoy it.

I use my mother in law's recipe.

1 box noodles (I use wheat ones, can't tell the difference)
4 chicken breasts boiled and shredded
1 large can of cream of mushroom soup
1 small can of cream of celery or cream of chicken whichever you prefer
1/2-1 box of velveeta (depends on how cheesy you like it)
1/2 onion
several stalks of celery (optional)

Saute onion and celery. Add soup and velveeta until all melts; add chicken. Boil noodles, drain, and combine with cheese mixture. Freezes great.

This is the recipe that's been passed down in my family and no one I've talked to has ever done theirs quite like my family. It's definitely serious comfort food in my home.

2 pounds of chicken
1 stick of margarine
1 bell pepper, chopped
3 cups chopped celery (I'm not a fan of celery and use celery salt or powder instead)
1 large onion, chopped
12-16 oz. spaghetti noodles
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can tomato soup
2 cups of chicken broth
1 T. chili powder
Dash of Tabasco

Cook chicken (I boil mine) and then cut into bite size pieces. Saute bell pepper, onion and celery in margarine. Add broth, soups, chili powder, tabasco, some salt and pepper and simmer for 30-40 minutes. Add chicken and simmer a few minutes longer. While this simmers, I cook my spaghetti in the leftover chicken broth. Once done, I add the spaghetti to the sauce. Enjoy!!!
