I'm trying to get some ideas for how to get 50 or so tshirts with a logo on them as cheap as possible. We have a team for a 5K fundraiser for GIGI's Playhouse and I'd like to be able to give shirts to the people on our team. I was thinking of buying tshirts cheaply (Walgreens, Menards) has some for $2 and then maybe getting an iron on decal? Any ideas would be appreciated!
Thanks!!

I use a local company called Next Generation printing. We get our tee shirts for about $5 each once you pay the screen fee.
Look in the yellow pages or Google local "silk-screeners". Find one and call them and explain that you are having an event for charity. Ask them if they can give you a reduced rate or donate the entire order due to the fact that it is charity. Most will agree. Especially of you let them put their business logo on the shirts as well. They get free advertising that way in exchage for doing the job for reduced or free. Good luck!
You could use fabric paint and make your own. A little time consuming for 50 shirts, but with a few people helping you it could go fast.
Do you have any connection to a Girl Scout troop? They are always encouraged to do community service (but are not allowed to raise money), this would be a great project for them. It also helps them to earn their badges.
You could buy white men's t-shirts and just tye-dye them. Inexpensive, but time consuming.
Hi, not a tee shirt but my mother, a graphic artist makes buttons for groups and businesses. Because she is a graphic artist she can customize buttons with original designs.

Good luck on your search.
Hobby Lobby has t-shirts for $1.50 each all different colors. I bought iron on sheets that you can put through your computer printer and ironed them on. I did this for a bday party for my son. good luck!
you could get a stencil and use acrylic paint with them. It doesn't have to be anything fancy- maybe just GIGI's Playhouse- or something like that- you could even have some of your team help you out with that.
My family does hiking t-shirts every year and we each design and paint our own- that is always a lot of fun! We use some fabric paint, but acrylic works fine too- it dries faster- just make sure to have wax paper or tinfoil in between the shirt so it doesn't stick together.
You could do an iron on decal- a flower or little school house or something on the pocket(or where the pocket usually is) on the front with GIGI's playhouse on the back.
Have fun and don't forget to ask for help! 50 is a lot to do by yourself!
