I have used AT&T Dish Network with a dual DVR for 4 years and LOVE IT!!! The only real problem I've had is a remote stopped working and the replaced it immediately.
Hi Mamas,
Does anyone use Centurytel for their high speed internet and Dish Network for their TV? I'm considering their service, but they don't offer any kind of money back guarantee if the service is not good. Any info/opinions/personal experience would be greatly appreciated!

I have been thinking of a way to leave Time Warner Cable (TWC) and was thinking of either Dish netwk or DirecTV. Glad you asked this question, hopefully you will get more feedback. I use TWC for tel/cable/internet and overall it's "okay", but I need better access to west coast baseball next season. Good luck!
I use DirectTv and LOVE it
i have the dish and hate it. i signed a 2 yr contract that is 15 dollars a month for the remainder contract, to cancel. it always goes out, there customer service is horrible also. i want to go back to time warner because their on demand is excellent! but att uverse have heard alot of good things about as well. and they have a package for internet and cable about 100 dollars a month and you dont have to have a home phone.
I use dish network through ATT - which is who caries my HSI.. I've been pleased with them, but I would not have signed a contract guaranteeing me paying them for providing anything less than high quality service... I too paid the installation fee and did not sign a contract at all - and it has paid off many times (i.e. the box broke, I was going to have to pay for a new one - I told them to just come get their old one, I didn't need the service... they told me there's a big early termination fee in my contract - I didn't sign a contract - and my new box (with installation) ended up being free).
We have dish network for TV service. We used to have DirecTV and HATED them. But, we were stuck with a 1 year contract (that kept getting extended without our permission... long story). Anyway, when we moved and had Dish Network installed, we paid the $50.00 installation fee so that we would not have a contract. Both the customer service rep and the installer tried to get me to sign one, but I wouldn't do it (if you sign a 1 year agreement, installation is free.) It's well worth the 50 bucks (to me) to be able to cancel whenever I want. No information on Centurytel, we use verizon here.
I have had dish network for satelite tv for years and I love it. the only problem I've ever had with them is that sometimes they offer these awesome deals to new subscribers and if you are an old loyal customer they won't offer you anything. But I've never had any problems with the service and I love the guide, I'd never go back to cable. I have known of lots of people that had problems with direct tv though.

We have DISH and I hate it. I used to have Time Warner, now Comcast, and loved them. DISH goes out a lot, customer service is not very good, do not recommend it.
I have never heard anything good about Dish Network. This past July, we switched from Comcast to AT&T U-Verse. We love it. It is alot cheaper than cable and you get more channels. We got our installation free and there are no contracts so you can cancel at anytime. The customer service is the best and they are very quick to resolve any issues. However, AT&T is not available in all areas. You can log on to www.uverse.att.com and see if they have service your area.

We had dish network, and hated it. The receiver boxes were always going out and we were always having to send them back for new ones, and their customer service sucks. At one time, my husband was put on hold for over an hour, and no one ever got back to him. We switched to directv this spring, and love it. Much better quality, customer service and the cost is just a couple dollars more, BUT you get a lot better chanel choices programming wise.
I have used DishNetwork for years. Never really had any problems, yes when it is stormy really bad it goes out, but comes back on after the weather cell passes. I had to get help only once and they helped me while talking me through it on the phone. Best wishes.
I would suggest at&t uverse. I used to have dish when i lived in Oklahoma. But when the guy setup the dish he put it where the house and trees were in the way and we called dish about several times but they would never send anybody out to fix it. I love AT&T uverse it comes with a dvr that you can record 4 shows or movies at the same time. And it don't cost extra to add additional recievers to the bedrooms. With Dish we were told that it would cost more for additional recievers and for the DVR. Uverse you get the same amount of channels as you would with Dish. You also have the video on demand where you can order movies for just 2 or 3 dollars.
