YES! Get him the yellow ribbon! We are so grateful for his service! Please, please honor him for all of us too!
OK, my husband comes home from Iraq today. OMG I am so excited.
He is actually 22 years Army-retired and was deployed with Marines because of his clearance/expertise... So he isn't IN the military. You can imagine how shocked we were when he was deployed. It was scary, but I am so proud of him.
But I want to take balloons and make a sign. He asked if I had tied Yellow Ribbon at the house. I hadn't, but should I go buy some this morning?
Is that too much? He won't be in uniform!
I am sorry... this is probably a silly question in the scheme of mom's days...
Hey thank you all so much for the behind the scenes notes as well. I so appreciate it. We decorated our home with balloons and yellow ribbons and just about plowed him down at the airport.
We are so happy and blessed to have him home. We should all remember those families that make the ULTIMATE sacrifice and lose their loved ones. I pray they find peace.
Hugs to all,
E.

I agree, I would make a huge deal about it! The whole world should know how proud you are, especially your husband. Our service men and women aren't thanked enough and I think everyone will appreaciate the display!
