The place are not even worth going to, they are a rip off with a Capital! You are better off trying to borrow the money from family or close friend that would not mind lending.

My friend used it once. The interest was 401%. She paid back triple what she borrowed. Be very careful and use this only as a last resort.

Dear Y.,

I have to agree with the other posters. Please, try to do everything you can to avoid this route. There aren't any good ones. The interest rates charged are so high, that you start out owing a lot right away. Even if you think that you will be fine after the next pay check, you will have to pay back so much that you will be deeper in debt. Please, be careful. Good luck, J.

I would try and avoid them at all costs. It seems like a great idea but if you are running short on cash you might want to take a look at your budget.

I also would stay away from those places, interest rates are insane. If it's a large amount that you need, what I did was to open a new credit card with a "No interest for 8 months" deal and did a cash transfer there, where you write a check for amount from the credit card. I only paid 3% of the loan amount that I transfered to the card and had 8 months to pay it off with out paying any interest on it. This is a good way to pay off a debt, but you have to be disciplined enough to not incure any additional interest on the card. If you can't open a new card, negotiate with your present card companies about interest for a loan. Usually they will work with you, unless your credit isn't good, then I would take a closer look at how you budget your money. If that's the case, there are several social service places that will help you with that, just look on the internet, but be ware of scams. Government sites are a good place to start. Hope this helps.

I would be VERY careful about these places. I've never used one, but have heard several reports of people being charged unbelievably high interest rates on the money they borrow and end up owing way more than they ever borrowed.

Please stay away from any of them. Their charges are as high as 600% on the money you borrow. Pray about a better way.
