Should I do Hydroproxide, cordizone, neosporine.... or what ? Any ladies have tips ? ( sorry for mis spell words... it is late and don't feel like getting up and looking up how to spell this stuff LOL )

Thanks

Ok, I guess I don't get this or the responses. Why after so many years would you have anything going on with this scar? If you have skin that hangs over it, that's a different story but if you don't you shouldn't be having any issues. That scar should be closed up and nothing should be going on. I too have a c/s scar and I have a 13 in. scar along my upper abdomen from having my kidney taken out and I don't have problems with either.

If it is because you have skin over it, yes the other responses are good.

Like others have said, the area is probably not drying completely or is retaining sweat throughout the day. I would treat the area with powder with a cornstarch base & jock itch cream. If that doesn't solve the problem, call doc.

When's your next checkup? I think I'd go to the doctor and have it looked at. I would worry about infection, to be honest.

If your incision site is protruding to the point that there is soap and water building up to cause an odor, I'd consider having a plastic surgeon revise your scar. There's no reason to live with that, unless it's a financial thing. Plastic surgeons can do wonders.

Shower then dry off... I know this sounds odd but take hair dryer on cool and dry area super good. Maybe try cortisone cream. My scar is 9 years old and I started sweating a lot during spinning class.. So I went to doctor b/c it itched smelled... She gave me an rx cream for yeast infection worked likes charm.
