Can't Get Pregnant After Miscarriage.

My husband and I decided to have a baby. It took us 2 months to conceive, it resulted in a miscarriage. I went to the doctor he said we were good to try again whenever we felt comfortable. We started trying after I got my first period. Which was 2 weeks later. So we thought it would be really easy. But now it's a year and half later and nothing. Can having a miscarriage cause infertility? What else could be going on? I'm going to the doctor in a week. I'm really scared and tired of playing the same disappointing game every month.

What can I do next?

It took me several years after a miscarriage to conceive again. Here's what i did- I stopped smoking, drinking and I started taking PH balancing pills. Within a month I was pregnant. Hope this works for you!

Just a suggestion, but have you checked that you don't have celiacs disease? This auto-immune disease may contribute to an inability to conceive. Try a Google search for details. The answer may be to avoid gluten in your diet.

I doubt you miscarriage caused it. Chances are your miscarriage was a sign that you were having fertility issues. I would recommend checking into the Pope Paul the VI Institute. They train doctors all over the county and there work is cutting edge.

I had an ectopic pregnancy 2 months after I quit the pill. It took us 14 more months before we concieved my daughter (now almost 4) and since then, I've had 2 miscarriages back to back last summer and nothing since then. We aren't trying anymore though... I know that I'm hugely infertile, so we just deal with it as it comes. Or not.
3 rounds of clomid did nothing and we are nowhere NEAR ivf, so it is what is is for us. We are happy with our 2, but a 3rd would be welcomed if and when it would happen.

Do you know your own body? Do you know when you ovulate? I miscarried twice after my first two kids and then after I lost 30 lbs. I had given up and relaxed and that is when I got pregnant with baby #3. Baby #4 came 18 months later without even trying. I got pregnant while breastfeeding! So relax first and make sure that you are in tune with your body. Also see your doctor if you feel you need the testing. We feel that with our girls they were both twins and that one did not take so be patient and know that God is working on the perfect baby for you. That might sound weird to you but once you get to really know your body and then talk to the doctor you will be more relaxed and comfortable and then the miracle of life should take place. Good luck.

Did he test you the first time? If he did and said it was good to go maybe the timing needs to be different? I'm not sure how to plan pregnancies, but maybe look up a method with high pregnancy rates and try it.

Pick up the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Weschler. It will teach you to read your cycle to learn when you are ovulating and most likely to conceive.

See your doctor first to make sure everything checks out ok. I had the same thing happen. I miscarried at 11 weeks. Afterward, I was a complete hormonal mess. I started having ovarian cysts, and a cyst in one of my fallopian tubes which was causing my infertility. I suspected my body was too acidic, which was causing the cysts and hormonal issues. I was under a lot of stress, and that can cause the body's PH to get all out of whack. I did a apple cider vinegar and molasses cocktail I read about to neutralize my body chemistry. My cysts were gone like that and I was back on track. I got pregnant the next month, but it took 10 mos altogether.
