Can't Find It

Hi Moms, I am looking for a decorative humidifier lamp. It is a bowl that has a light in it and you pour water in it and turn it on. No chemicals, no dies, just water. They are also know as fogging lamps or Misty Fountains, but I don't know where to find one in all of Richmond. I have checked the three malls nearest me to no avail. These are not for a child's room and it not a real humidifier, it's just a decoration that can act as one because it creates a mist in the air. Can anyone tell me where I can find this locally in Glen Allen, VA? Thank you.

What can I do next?

E.,

My husband bought one of these because he thought it looked very cool. (It did!) Be careful to clean it daily. We did not and my husband had a bad reaction. (Fever, chills, etc.) Just be sure to clean it every day. Just thought you should know!

Hi there!

I don't live in Richmond but I'm not too far away. :) Over the holidays at our mall... I am in Northern VA... they had those lamps at the Discovery Channel store and at the 'As Seen on TV store'. Do you have either of those there? You could check both sites online to look for local store and to see what they carry. I hope you find it!

Hi E.-

I live in MD, not VA, but I think I just bought one of these at Target. I imagine you mean one for a child's room? The one I bought is not something I'd put in my livingroom b/c it is a green plastsic frog! But it looks good in my son's room and we put it in there to help with his dry cough at night. It is not really a light though, just a simple humidifier with nothing but water in it. If that is what you are looking for, look in the pharmacy section at Target near the flu and cough stuff. Mine was $35. If you are looking for something that is nicer looking, I don't know where you'd find that.

I didn't know if it's a lamp you're looking for, but if you're looking for a humidifier acting as a night light too I have one from Vick's that I found at babies r us. I'm sure other big stores will carry it too, I just pour water in with a pinch of salt and it's good to go all night.
