Can Plastic Magnets Go in the Dishwasher?

I have many plastic magnets that I would like to clean in one fell swoop...can they go in the dishwasher basket? If no, can I throw them in a bucket of water/bleach solution? I am concerned about somehow damaging the magnetic element. Also, the magnetic element is covered in plastic on all of these pieces...not sure if that matters. Thanks!

What can I do next?

My husband washed a bottle opener in the dishwasher that was magnetic. It does not stick to the refrigerator door anymore.

Washing won't damage the magnetism. Just the glue, but it sounds like that is not an issue if they are covered.

I have some magnets that are round plastic on top with the round magnet glued onto it. The plastic part has come off of them just sitting in a warm, moist kitchen.

Washing them in the dishwasher will not affect the magnet but it may separate the plastic from the magnet.

either of those methods are good and safe and will be fine for all materials you mentioned. I have done both many times, use the top rack if you do the dishwasher, btw. Put them in a mesh bag so they don't fall to the heating element
