Okay. I already have two children, so I've been through this before. My problem is that my period is six days late. I have been PMSing for weeks now. I feel like I am ready to pop. My breasts are huge and very tender. I am extremely emotional. I would totally think I was pregnant, except I took two at-home tests and both came up negative. Also I have had this cramping on and off during the day that feels like when you are about to get your period. I keep thinking I'm about to start, but then nothing.
So my questions are, one, what are the chances that I have two negative tests but am still pregnant? Two, is the pre-period cramping there when you are pregnant? I was thinking back to my two prior pregnancies but cannot remember. And three, if I am not pregnant, what is going on? Anybody have anything similar happen?
I took 2 pregnancy tests and both were negative, but I was pregnant. I think it was just too soon for the test to read. I went to the doc a few weeks later and I was pregnant. Hope it helps.
You could be. A blood test at the Dr.s office will let you know for sure. And, I had the most awful cramps during both of my pregnancies for the first few weeks. I don't want to get too graphic, but the veins in your breasts get really dark blue/purple when you're first pregnant.
Make an appointment with your OBGYN for next week...if you start your period than cancle it, and if not then you can be tested for pregnancy there and get all your questions answered. Better safe then sorry.

It could be very possible that you are pregnant, but your homone levels aren't high enough yet to have a positive pregnancy test. It's probably too soon to tell. I'd wait another week and if you still have not had your period, I'd take another test. Good Luck!!
Find the HPT's (home pregnancy test) that detect the lowest level of HCG (the pregnancy hormone) possible. Here are 3 below that have the lowest.

If you still get a negative reading and you don't start your period soon...have your Dr. do some blood work on you...if you are stressed, you can ovulate and still not have a period....the blood work can also determine 100% if you are pregnant or not.
