Can Anyone Recommend a GREAT OB GYN in Midtown Manhattan?

Hi, I am ttc and may be a difficult case. I'm trying to find a GREAT ob gyn in midtown manhattan, preferrably one affiliated with NYU. I'm currently going to Dr. Teresa Cheon who seems decent but I just don't love her. My old OB was phenomenal - smart, caring, thorough, explained everything, great office, not one to jump to antibiotics when other alternative, or more natural remedies might exist, etc. She delivered my son but moved to Texas a year ago. :( Any recommendations?
Many thanks,
Lana

Ok. So not Midtown and not NYU, but Upper West side and St. Lukes Roosevelt top 10 birthing hospitals etc. West Side medical CPW and 93rd street. 5 female GYN's. Mine is Dr. Hope Langer, she is awesome and delivered my son when she was 7 1/2 preggers with her 6th kid. ###-###-####. If you are attached to NYU call their directory for OB suggestions. Good luck with the TTC!!

I see Dr. Robert Berg too and have been very happy with him for the past 4 years. The first time I went to him (after switching from a thoroughly incompetent doctor), he had the misfortune of telling me that I had a miscarriage. He performed a D&C the next day and was excellent with me and my husband. He took the time to really explain everything and answer our questions and concerns. He also delivered my daughter about a year later! He is an excellent doctor and I highly recommend him. Just an FYI, if you're looking for someone overly warm and fuzzy, he may not be the doctor for you. He definitely has a dry sense of humor, which I like, but not everyone would. It depends on your personality.

Yes I do!!! I LOVE my ob/gyn docs. Yes, I said docs bc they're brothers working together. (I hope you don't mind men docs.) Dr. Alan Berger is the main doctor. He does majority of the deliveries between the 2 of them. And he's delivers at NYU. Delivered both of my babies there and is phenomenal and very patient. Dr. Mark Berger usually does the office visits since Dr. Alan is at NYU delivering the babies. Their office is located at 36th street and Lexington Avenue. ###-###-####. Hope this helps.

Since I delivered at St. Vincents and it no longer exists; I called the hospital I wanted to deliver at and got a list of recommended OB's. I ended up finding someone close to work & is pretty good. Maybe try calling NYU?
I wish I knew someone in mid-town. My old OB who was in midtown stopped delivering babies to spend more time with his family....

Good luck!
