a friend of mine does and swears by them! it's all organic and the recipes seem to look good to me.. wish I could afford to do it!
Has anyone used the meal service Buying Thyme? I am curious what you thought and if you felt it was a good deal. Was the food good? What are your favorites? Whatsize did you order and how many did it feed?
Thanks

I got their food from friends after my pregnancy and went back to get more on my own. Great food. Worth it. They also work well with food sensitivities. They'll keep out what you cannot have. (I had a whole list of random things I couldn't eat while nursing. They changed some recipes to keep those things out.) I highly recommend them. They use organics, including vegetables from a local farm. Great.
It's a wonderful, delicious and easy way to get dinner on the table on a regular basis. Add a little variety to your plate, and spice up your dinner hour, without the stress, shopping, mess, and prep. I use another store with similar menus and the food is great. It makes my life so much easier and my husband can get dinner ready and on the table for my two kids, without having to call for takeout!
i received a Buying Thyme gift certificate 3 years ago after my son was born - alot may have changed between now and then. what i did not like then was that although all ingredients for the meal were given you cooked it all yourself - for what the gift was meant to do (make me not have to cook) i was still cooking.
but that being said the food was good and i enjoyed the variety.
The food is amazing - all local, organic, natural, etc. I feel good about eating it while breastfeeding, and I'm pretty careful. I also happen to know the owner and she has tons of experience in fancy restaurants, catering, etc. and she's very accommodating to my gluten intolerance. It is more affordable if you order the big sizes of things and eat leftovers, I've found. If I order a small lasagna, it would be four big servings, so two meals for us (DH and I). Large would go much further. It seems expensive, but not when you look at the quality of the ingredients. It's less expensive than eating out and you don't have to go out or pay a tip =) We don't do it all the time, but I will get a few of my favorites every couple of months for those really busy days when we need something fast. If I had more money, I would do it every day!! =)
