Paulina Meat Market in Lakeview has been in business for years and is very reputable. I have bought a few specialty items there.
Does anyone know of a good butcher shop or meat market in Chicago or near suburbs. I live on the NW side in Chicago (Jefferson Park area) but would travel further for good meat at decent prices.

There is a great butcher on Broadway (it may be Sheridan at that point) somewhere around Hollywood. I have only been there once but it has a great reputation, been in the business for a long time, etc. It is right next to a Jimmy John's deli so if you look up that address, it is right next to it.
I live in Lincolnshire and I don't know of any good butchers, but if I want to buy good quality meat (that actually has some flavour) I go to Wholefoods in Deerfield.(they're in the same shops as Barnes & Noble
They will cut to different sizes etc for you as well.
Hope this helps
Paulina's Meat Market is supposed to have fabulous cuts of meat. To be honest I haven't shopped there, although I intend to stop by soon.
Here's an interesting article that may help http://www.newcitychicago.com/home/daily/chow/bbq071599.html
