I'm a little over 39weeks right now and completely exhausted! People keep talking about the burst of energy before going into labor. I had a ton of energy last weekend, did the last bit of laundry before the baby comes and cleaned the house. Everything is ready and I just feel like she should come now:) So my question is, before labor did you have this burst of energy ppl keep talking about and how long before labor did u have it???

What can I do next?

With me, it was hard to say - I ended up having an emergency c-section 9 days before my due date because baby was in distress and I wasn't even in labor at all (baby ended up being fine!) But I know about a week before that I had some serious "nesting" going on because I went to Walmart and ended up stocking up on the biggest packages of cotton balls, Vaseline, wipes, etc. I could find because I was in this mind-set of "We need all this stuff and it needs to already be here in time for the baby!" (Seriously. We still have the container of Vaseline almost 4 years later and it's barely half used. It's that big!)

Hopefully your baby will come soon! Congrats and good luck! :)

Ha! I barely had enough energy to get through labor. My version of "nesting" was calling for take out. I hear some people get lucky with that energy thing, but I wouldn't hang your hat on it.

Hope she comes soon : )

I didn't have a burst of energy... But I wasn't exhausted either. I pretty much stayed at the same energy level througout my pregnancy (other than the initial tiredness during my first trimester...)

I have an awesome picture that my MIL caught of me doing a roundhouse kick at Hubby on the day after my due date. :D I love that pic because I'm standing sideways, so you can see my huge belly sticking out while I'm on one leg with the other sticking straight out. Hee hee hee. (Hubby was not harmed in the making of that picture... lol)

I didn't have the burst of energy, but the night before I went into labor I just had an urge to get things done, but was still exhausted. I was still packing the next morning for the hospital while in labor.

Day before I cleaned everything from floor to ceiling. Felt great and full of energy after the birth too. But, oh those last three weeks before. If I could have hired somebody else to be pregnant for me for the last three weeks I would have done it.
You will recover and feel splendid again...although you won't sleep much.

Have had three children and not once did I have a "burst" of energy. I think at one point it became 100% clear it could be any day and lets get this done but that was earlier and earlier with each baby.

I just think there is the top of the hill where we are like I'm done! Lets get this all done so I can veg till the baby comes. hehe
