Bunk Bed Organization

Does anyone have a good idea for storage for top bunk beds? I need a wall shelf for books, small alarm clock, etc but one that does not stick out super far so my boys aren't bumping their heads on them. I am trying to get a little more organized for the school year....I have searched and searched but hard to find with such a small space to work with.

What can I do next?

Aren't bunks great??? --- try some of the soft- mesh hanging dividers -- they are sold very inexpensively as '''back of the door shoe and ''stuff'' holders--. You wouldn't need the entire length-- just cut off the length you need- attach it to the wall-- put the childs' stuff in the different pockets- and there's nothing to hurt them--- ( a little unconventional- but it would solve the problem of bashing heads)

You need S. Eiezen. She is amazing with small spaces and knows how to work on a budget and/or with stuff you already own. Just an hour with her will save you so much legwork and wasted money on solutions that don't quite work. She's a mom of twins herself, so she is very practical PLUS she is super-nice person too. Call her, you'll be so glad you did. nestseattle.com. ###-###-####

I bought a small alarm clock and stuck it to the rail of my son's bed with double stick tape. I also bought a desk lamp that clamps on and clamped it to the rail. Just a couple of ideas.
