The PED explained things quite simple to my hubby...little boys have out door plumbing and little girls have indoor plumbing, so little girls get infections much easier. Nothing but clean clear water in her bathtub.
My questions is, Should I let my 15 month old little girl have a bubble bath? My 15 year old never could use bubble bath(infection you know where). I know it would be fun for her but I am afraid to try. Just wanting your opinion.
Thanks!

Our Pediatrician does not like bubble baths... it causes infections/UTI's or redness in the area etc. But kids like it... it's up to you. Some brands are more harsh than others. Perhaps shop around and find a more "natural" hypo-allergenic type.
All the best,

Just my advice-i have a girl and we always bathed her because she liked playing in the tub, but had UTI infections quite the bit. So we stopped baths all together and do showers or just let the water run so she can play, but do not let her sit and she has not had an infection in quite sometime. I would limit the bubble baths just to be on the safe side.GOOD LUCK! L.:)
I put a little of the Johnson's baby wash under the faucet and it makes some bubbles. Not a big bubble bath but my son likes it. (16 MO) He has pretty sensitive skin in general so I make a point to rinse him after each bath with the shower wand so we don't leave a residue on his skin. Hope that helps!
No. We don't do bubble baths. I have an 8 year old boy and 4 year old girl. The reason I don't do bubble baths is that the typical one if full of chemicals and I don't want my children "swimming" in them.
Two years ago, I bought a LITTLE TYKES BUBBLE BELLIES Cow. It's the COOLEST thing. You squeeze the handle (I always do it because if it's held crooked, the bubbles will spill out) and a steady stream bubbles come out. (Way easier than you blowing them out.)

So my children DO get a "bubble bath" and they LOVE it. They play with the bubbles coming out (building bubble mountains, popping, catching, landing on their skin, etc...)
When I used to try chemical liquid bubble baths, the bubbles always popped waaaaay too early (so what is the point?)
I paid $14.99 or so at Target. I don't know if Little Tykes still makes it.
Found it for $5!

I have always let my kids take bubble baths. I just use the baby soap/shampoo and pour a little under the running water. I have never bought "bubble Bath", Johnson's or Huggies baby wash works well and isn't harmful. Just make sure to rinse her off well before she gets out. If it irritates her skin or she gets an infection, you'll know not to do it again.
Go for it...you'll find out quick enough if it's a problem for her too...if not, imagine all the fun she'll have.
For my daughter we make bubble bath using the baby wash (like Johnson's, I prefer Target brand) and after she's all done we rinse all the soap off using the shower. I make sure to especially rinse her vaginal area to avoid any irritation. I have done the same with Mr.Bubbles (only on rare occasions) and have not had problems at those uses. Good luck!

I also use the baby bath and it bubbles/lathers, but not "bubble bath". I just squirt it in the bottom of tub before filling with water--from the shower head for more lather. I have used Johnsons baby, Giggles & Grins, and Aveeno. I switched to the Aveeno oatmeal bath at the nurse's suggestion after an awful infection in diaper region b/c it is supposed to be very gentle. (my daughter is 12mo old)
I'd say just don't do bubble baths everyday. With my daughter who is almost 6 years old, I could tell it irritated her so I just did the bubbles every 2 or 3 days.
