"Free-range Kids" by Lenore Skenazy is one everyone should read.
And "How to talk so Kids will Listen, and How to Listen so Kids will Talk"
And "Nurtureshock: New Thinking about Children" by Po Bronson
I read Bringing up Girls by James Dobson, and I was wondering if anyone could suggest another good read.

when my younger sister was a pre teen,i took her to a local womens shelter so she could see where alot of her little pregnant girlfriends were ending up, this is probably the best favor, and biggest reality check , you can give a young girl when all her friends are making bad decisions and allowing the people around them to make bad decisions for them
