Hi - I carried mine on. They checked it out, I explained it was breast pump. I had no problems what so ever. Did on two seperate trips.
I want to bring my breastpump on vacation and dont want to check it so it doesn't get broken. Is it ok to bring in my carry on? I want to know how TSA treats that.
I am aware you can bring breast milk on the plane now so that is awesome!

They allow everything else electical, so I can't imagine that they would have a problem with a breast pump.
I fly with mine all the time- lately no problems, early on it was more of a problem. The only time I have had any problems is when I brought the freezer packs without milk- so I literally got escorted out of security- went to the bathroom, pumped 1 oz and returned with the 1 oz and was able to get the freezer packs through. The thing I learned about it- it truly depends on who the TSA person is. One guy insisted on swabbing it down and stuff, the same airport a few weeks later- no questions asked. Good luck!
I have done it several times. I have even pumped on the plane! The TSA people give you some weird looks while it's going through, but they'll allow it. One time they did have to swab mine, but it was okay.
Good luck!
It looks like your question had been answered before I came home from the grocery store. Have fun on the trip. L.
As everyone else has said, it is fine to carry on the plane. They do typically ask what it is and feel the need to check it out. I would highly recommend NOT checking it, as I made the mistake one time. For some unknown reason I wanted as little carry on as possible and thought I'd just pack it in my suitcase. Of course this is the time my luggage did not arrive at my destination! I was without my baby (this trip was the "weaning" time) and had no pump for 2 days! It was unbearable. Luckily I was at the end and wasn't as full as usual. I broke down and bought a cheap pump just for relief - another mistake as it didn't release any more than I could manually. Lesson learned the hard way!
