Breast Augmentation Alternatives?

Ok moms - I am done BF'g and I cannot believe what it has done to my breasts! I was a 34B before, and now I am lucky to be a AA cup - not kidding. They are sooooo small and deflated. I feel completely unfeminine and embarrassed. I am afraid to even let my husband see me naked! I look like a 12 year old boy.
Has anyone ever used the Brava Enhancement system? Or can anyone recommend some silicone inserts for your bra?
I do not want surgery - I am not a fan of fake breasts because, well, they look fake. My DH hates the way they look too. I don't want something foreign in my body, nor can I afford it.
I know - maybe I am being silly, but I have never felt this bad about my body - since puberty!
Any tips?

What can I do next?

I have lots of experience with the insecurity you feel with little breasts. Mine were an A before breastfeeding and went back to an A after BFing. The only time I felt confident with my breast size was during those 11 months! Though I do wish I could fill out, say, a B cup, I have mostly come to terms with my body. I wear padded bras and fool everyone except my husband and me. My husband knew he wasn't getting a big-breasted woman when he married me, so he doesn't dare complain! I, like you, oppose surgery for many reasons, so I know of no other alternative but to accept myself the way I am. It's probably not the most helpful advice ever, but it's all I've got for you. Goodluck!

The same thing happened to me after my 1st baby. I hated to even see myself naked forget about my husband. But I just wore padded bras and stayed away from mirrors for a while. After my 2nd was done bf'ing my breasts didn't go down quite as much as they had after my first (though still not the size they used to be before babies!). So... if you're planning to have more kids you may find the same thing. I just wear padded bras and have gotten used to it. Good luck!

Hi G.-
I went from a C cup to an A cup after breast feeding, too. While they stayed smaller then they had been, they filled in a bit after a few months. I ended up actually liking them better, once I adjusted to them... I know a lot of other women who have had a similar experience. I hope you end up feeling the same, too. :-)

Hi G. -

well, I have some different experiences than other women. My breast are two different sizes. Now I know that everyones breast are not identical, but I had a large C cup on my left, and a very small A on my right and on top of that they were different shapes as well. So, it was extremely noticable.

At 18 years old (I'm 41 now) I had breast augmentation on my right breast. The doctor did such a good job, that no one could tell that it was fake. This summer, I had to have that implant replaced and I also had a little lift on the other side (yes..i've had babies too.. and they do a number on them). woo hoo! again, no one knew except who knew that I had surgery. My breast are not these large melons plopped on top of my chest. They just look like normal boobs. It totally depends upon the doctor on how they are going to look...

But as a kid...I had a very, very smart mother. In order for people not to notice, we had to be very inventive to fill the other cup. The one that worked the best was like foam padding that fit inside the cup of the bra. The other things that we tried (but because I was extremely active, it didnt work as well) that looked the MOST natural, was an insert that women use who have had mastectomys. If you go to a Lady Grace store (not a catalog) the sales person can help you find one that will look the most natural. Unfortunately, they are very pricey. It can go from $15 to $400. It is a prothesis for mastectomy's.

But if you go to a store, they would be able to help you out with finding one that fits you and your wallet! They have a few stores in Mass, but none in RI. not sure where you are.

Good luck with your decision, and if you would like to ask me any questions, feel free.

I don't think you're being silly, I had the exact same experience! Mine were barely a B, but kind of perky - after bf'ing for a year they looked like deflated balloons. I was pretty mad, because they didn't really get much bigger through my entire pregnancy and bfing, so I thought I'd be ok! They started to 'reform' after about a year, but still looked kinda limp. It was depressing, primarily in the shower each morning.
I got pregnant again and miscarried (so sad), though the silver lining was that it transformed my breasts back to what they'd been before my baby. I assume it had something to do with the hormonal changes, so maybe ask your gyno? Perhaps one of the bc pill options will make a difference for yours! I don't really recommend the method that inadvertently worked for me...
Best wishes for more bouncy boobs!
