Looks like we're going to Branson this summer (MIL has a time-share, so Branson here we come!)

I've been there once before, but at the time we had a baby and a 3 year old. Now they're 4 and 7, so I think that opens up some possibilities.

What are some of your favortie things to do in Branson.

My guy is 4, we're going later this year and plan to do Silver Dollar City, the Duck for my guy, and the Titanic Museum for sure. A friend has been several times and is showing us around. Another friend is taking him fishing, can't remember the name (just had surgery a few days ago and am muddled), it's something Landing.

There's a great zoo, you can walk around, feed the animals and then have lunch at the cafe. They have elephants, giraffes, goats, fish/duck pond, reptile house, and many other outdoor and indoor creatures. Fun!

There's also a famous cavern you can visit for a guided, driving tour. Pretty fascinating.

If you like Pro Bass Shop, there's a whale of one there. The largest in the country, I believe. It's absolutely amazing, for kids and adults!

Have fun! Google Branson Missouri, it's all there. A few places might be listed as Springfield. :)

We rode the ducks, that was fun for all of us. We went to the hatchery- the kids like it, I was hot and pregnant :). My parents took my sons to Bass Pro and they spent the whole day there. They tried alligator meat and they're still talking about the alligator gar fish they saw there.

My kids were about your kids age when we went and we took them to see a Magic show (i think his name was Darion?) They have all kinds of things there we had a blast!

What I enjoyed the most was the security of letting the kids go play in the playgrounds/little kids ride area where I could sit down in the shade and just visit with my friend. I could see the kids and hear them. They were so happy and playing so much I didn't have to worry about what they were doing.

The playground by the lake was so entertaining to the kids I had to pull them out to go ride rides. The 9 year old and the 6 year old were totally focused on all the different things they could do.

The ride area for the littler kids, over by the toddler ride area, was nice too. My friend and I sat down at one end and the kids ran from ride to ride then back again. The older one of course wanted to ride the bigger rides and my friends kids are 12 and 14 so they did get to ride almost all the rides over and over and over.

Then there were the rides we all went on, over and over, some of them we didn't even get out of for 3-4 turns. It's really wonderful going in September. We bought 1 day and got the next free so we went 2 days for less than $200 for all 6 of us, my friends kids have season passes so I paid for my friend, me, and my 2 grand kids. It was well worth it.

We ate at the chicken place right there on the lake. It was so good. All the kids liked the chicken strips and honey mustard. We would feed the fish our leftovers. The kids meals were very good and very reasonably priced.

We didn't do a lot of souvenirs so it wasn't very expensive over our initial cost.
