I am looking for new bottles. My son 4 years ago I bought Avent. I didn't like them then. Course they where not BPA free. So I have thrown them away.
I don't want them again. I am looking at the Dr. Browns, Tommy Tippee, playtex with the drop ins. The Tommy Tippee are so new, does anyone have any thoughts on them? I thought about the Born free glass, but am worried as the child will throw the bottle as he/she gets older and it will break.

If anyone has any suggestions or comments please let me know. I don't know which one to buy.

What can I do next?

We used Playtex drop-ins. I tried a bunch of different bottles because my baby was 100% breastfed and didn't go to daycare until she was 7 months. She rejected most bottles, even one shaped exactly like a breast. She accepted the Playtex and she wasn't gassy from it, but she was older than an infant. We still use them (she's 3 now) and they are super convenient to travel with. No BPA and light weight.

I started using Tommy Tippee in late May for my then 9 week old twin girls. They have been working great!! Will move from 5oz to 9oz bottles soon. Easy to clean the bottles as they have such wide open mouths (can also use dishwisher). I like that the nipples are similar to the breast.

My son refused to use Dr. Brown's, which was fine with me. All those little parts to clean! He was a breast-fed baby, and he seemed to like the wider nipples, so we bought the Born Free and the Playtex non-drop-ins (I don't like to waste). My favorite were the Playtex - easy to clean, very few extra parts, inexpensive and you can get them in a number of sizes. I like the Born Free, too (they never broke - never even cracked - I think they're designed to take some damage), but they did have more small parts to clean. I have not heard of the Tommy Tippees.

my baby wouldnt latch on anything when he was born and had gurd so it was a pain to fins a bottle that he could use. the best one i found was the dr. browns and the avents (new ones) and they were perfect. dr browns are not all that much of a pain to clean. i bought like 3 bottles and would leave the used ones soaking in hot soapy water and used new one so it was easier to clean. now i have to say the avent sippy cups are great and for milk they dont leak at all!!

I used Dr. Browns. Buy the dishwasher baskets to clean them and it's no different then cleaning a regular bottle.

I used the Playtex drop ins religiously with my first 2 babies... my 3rd (my 'diva', my SON) would only use Dr Browns. They're pretty awesome and not as much of a pain to clean as I thought they might be. I have used glass bottles in the past (I believe they were Evenflo) and they DON'T break... forget worrying about the baby throwing them, I'm notorious for dropping/kicking things, or having them fly out of my hand. I promise, those suckers are TOUGH! If I had to recommend only one, I would say Dr Browns... and my pediatrician agrees :)

My friend uses Avent BPA-free and says they're so much better than when she used them with her daughter. There's a cap that prevents leaking. My 2nd son spit up a LOT and I found that the regular Playtex bottles worked great. I opted not to use the drop-ins because of the cost and waste with the extra plastic. Dr. Brown's looked too complicated, and Born Free looks like it has too many parts to clean, too. My only issue with Playtex bottles is that there are only 2 nipple sizes, and eventually "fast" flow gets slow when your baby's older.

I use the born free but they are plastic. Love them. No complaints here.

My son has liked the Dr. Brown bottles. We started on Medela glass but they always seemed to leak! He was fine with that nipple though.

I tried a couple of others but he seemed to like the Dr. Brown best.

I used the Dr. Browns. Ok so I do have to admit that it reduced fussiness and so on. My baby had gas, but was always able to burp easy, without spitting up all the time. We tried a few bottles and these did work the best. But I absolutely hated having to clean all the parts (we don't have a dishwasher). There are so many little places that bacteria can hide that it would take me forever to clean them. If you have a dishwasher buy the Dr. Browns disherwasher basket if you end up getting them. =) Good Luck.

We used gerber, playtex and finally tried Dr Brown when my daughter was about 4 months old. They certainly helped with her "tummy and tkaing in too much air" issues...I didn't find them they difficult to clean either. We used a basket in the dishwasher, or by hand. We loved them and they worked well for her! Good luck!

No plastic is totally safe, even the PBA-free ones, when you warm in them. If you warm the milk/formula and THEN put it in, it's ok, but I'd rather just use glass if I used bottles. The glass are very sturdy, and you could always put one of those tethers on if you were worried about it.

The glass Dr.Browns are the best things ever. My son had tummy problems. We tried everything, it was unreal. These worked great and he was able to keep his food down.
