At my school we use a crockpot with water to warm the infant's bottles. It can just be left on low so it's always ready. It warms the bottles quickly, too.
I need a really good bottle warmer. I currently have a steam one, and I swear setting it up is just as much work as making a bottle. So, what have you guys tried that worked?

To comment on the comment about microwaving it-Depending on what bottle you have-which I think most if not all say do not microwave. That is because most of them are made of plastic & are not meant to be microwaved. I use playtex-the drop in system & they are absolutly not to be microwaved.
Anyhow after buying a bottle warmer that took 15 minutes to warm the bottle & then returning it, I just listened to my Mom & did it her way. I bought a cheap thermos-$1 store, put the bottle in & run hot water over it- you can just let it trickle as not to waste too much water & the bottle is warm in just a few minutes.
A bottle warmer???? How about warm water in a thermos you mix with the formula???
We have bottle warmer by The First Years. It's great and it's fast and no assemly required (except the basket to protect the bottle). We love it. I wouldn't recommand microwaving the bottles directly since it will reuin the bottles.
We usually microwave a cup of water and then place the bottle in it until it heats up.
He Kindal-
My s-i-l finally bought a cheap pot and put it on the stove. It's only function is for boiling water. It seems to work the best and you can turn on the water, boil it, and get the bottle ready at the same time. Just dip the bottle in when you are ready. We let it sit for a few minutes.
Hope that helps.

Hi K.,
In my humble opinion, there is absolutely nothing wrong with zapping it in the microwave for 5-10 seconds at a time until it's warm enough. Forget about the steam warmers and warming it in water etc. It doesn't take long to figure out how many seconds it takes to warm a bottle, and as long as you mix it well and dip your finger in it to test it, you can't go wrong. I've never burnt any of my 4 babies' mouths....ever. This is just one of those things that isn't worth making a fuss over. God bless.
I had a great warmer made by Munchkin that I got at Target for about $20. All you had to do was fill a little vial that hung on the side with tap water and drop the bottle into the chamber. Within 30 seconds the bottle was ready and the right temp.
In my experience, I have found the heating milk in a pan works better then a bottle warmer does.
I don't recall the name of it, but my daughter in law brought me a warmer that is simply a plastic container that you fill with hot water from the tap and let the bottle sit in it. You can even let the water run over the bottle if needed. I think it's made more for the bags of expressed breast milk, and that's what I used it mostly for, but it works with bottles as well. I found it to be the best, and safest method. You can do the same thing with any tall container, but this one was so handy and worked so well. I believe she got it at Baby's R Us. I've looked online for it this morning and can't find it, so am hoping it hasn't been discontinued.
I don't recommend the microwave method at all.
