Boots for Kids: Bearpaw Vs. Zodiac

I have always bought my daughter Zodiac boots every winter and I absolutely love them for her. This year I could not find them in her size, in store or on-line. I went to a website that sells them and told them to notify me when her size is in. So since I could not find her size, I bought her a pair of Bearpaws. Zodiac, however, is much cheaper. Has anyone had any experience with Bearpaw and can tell me if they are a good purchase for a 4 year old girl? The reviews for them were great but I wanted some other opinions on the Bearpaw boots. Thanks in advance for your responses!

I wear Bearpaw I think they are too much for a young kid. We bought our daughter air walks from payless like the other poster but for snow play I will be getting her snow boots

never heard of zodiac, but not a fan of bearpaws. i read through responses and i am shocked people saying they bought 25 bucks pair of boots at payless. bought my kids last year (to wear for this year) uggs (sparkly ones) for 30 bucks each. just wait for sales, nordstrom.com, 6pm.com, saksfifthavenue.com etc
i know 6pm.com has the bearpaws on sale very frequently and they have free shipping.

I was looking for MUDD boots a couple of weeks ago for my eldest daughter's Christmas gift (the Big One) because she's been begging me for them for years. As I was looking, I got a recommendation for Bearpaw and found them on a great sale. I found her size and favorite color in a style I liked. Well, I ended up having to give them to her early over the weekend because her current boots have holes in the soles and we just keep getting snow storm after snow storm and she really needed them.

She about died. My 13 year old informed me I was the coolest mom ever for buying her gorgeous boots that were not only warm, cozy, stylish, and name brand but "actually on trend, Mom! They're phasing out MUDD and North Face in my school!"

Yeah they were a hit. She sleeps with them at the foot of her bed. She'd wear them to bed if she could. They're beautiful and soft with nice thick soles that are sturdy.

Never, ever heard of Zodiac.

Here's the thing... your daughter is only 4 years old. My daughter is 13 and has size 9.5 (women!) feet and will be able to wear these boots for years. Had you asked prior to buying the boots, I'd have said, "Go with what's warm and durable and she can play in them, but you won't mind spending the money." I spent the money because A.) the boots were on major sale and B.) they had amazing reviews and a reputation for being durable and warm and stylish. But since you have the Bearpaws already and it seems you didn't spending whatever you spent, know that you made a good purchase. If you ever have another daughter hopefully you can hand them down. :-)

My husband bought me a pair of Bearpaws and they are every bit as warm and comfortable as my Uggs, but a lot cheaper!
