Does anyone have a good booster chair that they like. There is so many out there that I have no idea where to begin. My 19 month old twins are soooo done with their highchairs (so am I). Im looking for a booster chair so they can sit at the table, which they love to do. Right now all they keep doing is trying to climb out of their highchairs. I tryed to take the tray off and push the highchairs up to the table, that worked 1 or 2 times. So if anyone has one they like or dislike please let me know. Thanks

What can I do next?

i got hte fisher price chair that you can travel with it has a tray that i only used when we would go places without a table. but it sits right on a chair you can strap it on the chair. there is also straps if you want to strap them in. it is also height ajustable so when they get taller you can lower it so they still fit in it. My 2 1/2 yr old still uses it and she loves it. i hope this helps

Dear Kara,

We use the Evenflo Snack & Play II. We have had for about 6 years now and I love it. It is height adjustable. It has a tray if you want to use it. It also straps to the chair and straps the child in it. My son who is four has been using it since he was about 8 months old. We had it for my nephew who came over to eat. Good luck because I have not found too many booster seats that I like. Right now I have a total of four booster seats and that is my favorite.

We like the Babysmart Cooshie Booster (I think BRUs and Target have this--not sure) be/ it won't slide off of the chair and there's no nooks and crannies for stuff to get into. No tray or anything, but my kids like to tote it around, too to use as a little chair.

Kara,
I just was in your siutation. I have a 19-month old and was looking to get a booster chair. I did some research and got a Stokke chair. It is a chair that they can use as infants (though you won't need that for your twins) through 6 or 7 years old. What i really like about it is that my sone can get up and down in the chair by himself. Of course, I strap him in when he is at the table, but it helps me know when he is hungry, and when I am getting dinner ready, I can ask him to go sit in his chair. He loves the ability to do it himself, and I love that it frees me up. They aren't cheap, but perhaps you can find a good deal on ebay.

Hi Kara,

We used a Fisher-Price booster when my son moved out of his high chair at about 20 months(to make room for a baby sister). It sits nicely on a kitchen chair and pulls right up to the table. I just moved my 15 month old daughter into the same chair and she is doing fine. My almost 3 year old son is now in a Cooshie booster--it sits on the chair, not straps (but stays fine) and not straps to strap him in. He is doing fine, too. Both of these chairs have worked well for us!

Take care and get rest when you can!

I really love Stokke chairs as well!

A friend generously gave us a pair for our twin daughters for Christmas! We have the dark cherry ones. Beautiful & our recently turned 2-year old girls love them. We weren't really considering a change from highchairs yet--the girls were fine in them--but now, we wouldn't go back. The girls absolutely love these chairs. They were just beaming when they first used them and enjoy being "big girls" and eating at the kitchen table with their parents. We have even seated them at the dinner table at Christmas.

These chairs are easy to clean, have seatbelts (and/or shoulder/seat belts, but we just fasten at the waist). They adjust as your child grows and can be used all the way until the kids are adults (supports 220 lbs. or more, as I recall). I've used them in the kitchen when using our laptop at the kitchen counter. Very comfortable and I understand very good for posture, etc. The key difference vs. the highchair is that the kids can place their feet comfortably on a flat surface so they are more comfortable than the highchair. I imagine you can also ajust to varying table heights as well.

We really love these chairs. Good luck with your decision!

I used the Safety 1st travel model. You strap it to the chair; it comes with a tray, but you can leave it off so they can push in all the way to the table. Easy to break down to a small carrying size if you visit friends or family who don't have a designated place for your little ones to sit. My daughter wouldn't mind sitting on the floor in her chair with the tray while she ate. At least she wasn't squirming at the table and carrying food around other people's houses. It costs about $20.

We like the Safety First booster chair (don't know what name/model is but it's blue and yellow). works great for a squirmy two-yr-old, so I bet it will work for your twins!
