You might try little bear and franklin
Hi everyone,
My 3 1/2 year old son received "Frog and Toad" books and a CD of the author reading the stories for Christmas. He loves them! We've read the books to him a few times, but he has been asking to listen to the CD everyday at his quiet time for the past week. I love it because he will actually sit there with a little car to play with and listen to the CD over and over while his brother naps and I either take care of the baby, or get some work done around the house.
My question is, does anyone have any OTHER books that their children like really well that are like that? These are short stories about the same two characters. I'd love to have some variety for him, but am not really sure what other books to look for. Maybe a longer chapter book on tape would work too (Charolette's Web, Ralph and the Motorcycle), but preferably they'd be shorter stories. I'm not sure if he'd like the longer ones quite yet.
Thanks!
Jessica

My 3 1/2 year old loves Frog and Toad cd's too!
She also listens to Winnie the Pooh (the real stories, not the Disney-fied Pooh)
the magic tree house series by mary pope osborne is great! the first ones, books 1-8 are shorter stories, about 1/2 hour. the library has them all on CD.
my kids have been in love with them since they were about 4...so just a little older.

check your local library- most of them have many books on tape including but not limited to children's stories
