Alexander & the No Good, Very Bad, Terrible Day (they even happen in austrailia;)

Berenstein Bears / Clifford/ & other moral of the story types

Shel Silverstein; Where the Sidewalk ends (Sarah doesn't take out the garbage, one kid watches so much TV he turns into one, another is sick until he learns it's saturday, dentists get eaten by aligators who are sick of being picked on... good stuff).

I'm not sure exactly what you mean by "being negative", but this is a nice book:

"What To Do When You Grumble Too Much....A Kid's Guide"
by Dawn Huebner, PhD.
You can look it up. I'm not sure the age group you are targeting, but it might have some good ideas.

Definitley the Berenstein Bears. They are great books. Also, I'll second "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day." Awesome book!!!

Ditto Riley 100%

We have ALL of those books.
LOVE em'.
My kids love those too.
They are my fav's too, as a grown up "kid."

And- "Little Bear" (by Maurice Sendak) books or TV/video shows is really good too. Love it.

Check with the librarian in the Children's section of your local library. I find they are a wealth of information! : )
