I've made this easy recipe with my grandson every summer since he was 5, he's now 12, because he absolutely loves blueberries!

I use the standard jan recipe you would find anywhere (the fruit to sugar proportions always stay the same) but add lots of lime juice and lime zest to it. Makes it a little bit more tangy and delicious!

I haven't made regular blueberry jam yet but have added blueberries to my plum jam (we have two plum trees in our yard and *all* the fruit ripens at once -yikes! I either use the recipe included in the Sure-Gel box or using a no-pectin-added recipe like the one here:
http://www.mysisterskitchenonline.com/2006/08/24/making-j... )

have fun! I just made 12 jars of blueberry-plum jam today :-D

I love blueberries too.

Speedy Blueberry Refrigerator Jam
Ingredients
4 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
2 cups sugar
1 (3 ounce) package lemon flavored gelatin

Directions
1. In a large saucepan, combine all three ingredients. Bring to a boil. Cook and stir for 2 minutes. Pour into jars; refrigerate.

Blueberry Jelly
Ingredients
2 quarts fresh or frozen blueberries
4 cups water
12 cups white sugar
2 (3 ounce) pouches liquid fruit pectin

Directions
1. Place blueberries in a large kettle and crush slightly. Add water; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium; cook, uncovered, for 45 minutes. Strain through a jelly bag, reserving 6 cups juice. Pour juice into a large kettle; gradually stir in sugar until dissolved. Bring to a boil over high heat, stirring constantly. Add pectin; bring to a full rolling boil. Boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from the heat. Skim foam. Pour hot into sterilized hot jars, leaving 1/4-in. headspace. Adjust caps. Process for 5 minutes in a boiling-water bath.

Hope this helps. Good luck to you and yours.
