Last night in the middle of the night I kept getting up B/C I felt like I needed to go pee. I would go and then towards the end I would get this super uncomfertable feeling. I am not sure if its a bladder infection B/C I have never had one before. We are currently trying to get pregnant and I am not sure if there is just some stuff going on. (Like the egg implanting)Has anyone experienced this before? Today has been a little better but I am still having the uncomfertable feeling.

What can I do next?

Yep, sounds like you have a bladder infection. Basically it feels like you have to go all the time and when you do right near the end it is somewhat painful. Go to the Dr and he'll prescribe something for you, you do not want it to get worse!

A bladder infection is acconpanied by a burning sensation when urinating. Then the feeling that your bladder is full again.with in a few minutes of going. usually further attempts at going are unfruitful with only a few drops and more burning. See your doctor

Sounds like it to me! Next time you will recognize the symptoms and drink Cranberry (full strength)juice before you have to get antibiotics from a doctor. What that does it make the walls of the bladder slippery and the infection goes through.

Good luck getting pregnant.

Honeymooners syndrome; is what my OB/GYN called it. My husband and I were trying (a little to hard) to get pregnant and I'd get UTIs (urinary tract infections) He told me to drink cranberry juice or take cranberry supplements. AND MOST IMPORTANT: pee after intercourse!! Peeing will flush out any bacteria that's invaded during all that sexual commotion. Regarding the egg implanting; you won't have pain while urinating but you could have a little discolored (orange or pink) discharge.

It does sound like a urinary tract infection.... call the doctor ASAP and get a prescription. If that is in fact what you have, that pain will not go away until treated. In the meantime, get some cranberry juice and start drinking. (I don't know what's in it, but my father who is a family doctor, always had me drink as part of the prescription)

Good luck with getting pregnant.

P.S. Have you ever heard of the book, Taking Charge of Your Fertility.
It is PHENOMENAL and EVERYONE that I have suggested it to has since conceived. In addition they have all commented on how it is a great book to read even just to learn about how the female body operates.... All the best!

Thanks for sharing what's going on with you. Only your doctor can determine if you have a bladder infection and how to get rid of it. The rest of us can only offer opinions based on what you've said. If you're w/o insurance and live in a large city, you can see someone at a free clinic. It's best to get the facts from professionals regarding our health. I'll say a prayer for you today.

Sounds like a bladder infection to me. Advice: get seen or make a call to a nurse to be screened. Sometimes, given enough info, an antibiotic will be called in for you, to be followed up by a urine culture and sensitivity and a repeat uninalyisis after the meds finished to be certin the infect is gone.
Best of luck,

if it were a urinary tract infection it definitely would have continued to get worse (quickly) to the point the pain would have been unbearable, so I don't think it's a UTI. Not sure what a bladder infection feels like, but if the discomfort continues, call your doc -- it might be nothing, but it can't hurt to make sure. Good luck getting pregnant!

Hi,

Sorry about your UTI's. They are caused by intercourse. Intercourse pushes bacteria up into your bladder. The best and easiest way to prevent this is to drink a big glass of water before having intercourse and urinate right after. It will help flush the bugs back out.

UTI's are very common. You should seek antibiotic therapy from your OB/GYN as sometimes these infections can rage on. The bad news...once you get one you are more prone to getting one again.

I am an experienced UTI sufferer. I finally went to a top draw urologist at UCLA who fixed my problem for good. He gave me the same advice.

Take care and good luck on your pregnancy!

Hi, my name is T. and I am a mom of 4. Frequent urination with a burning sensation afterwards is usually a sign of a bladder infection. What is usually a fast cure for me drinking lots of cranberry juiced without any ice. Like half a bottle of ocean spray pure cranberry juice. If it does not go away see a doctor. Frequent urination does happen in the early stages of pregnancy due to an enlarged uterus. The frequent urination, however is not usually associated with a burning sensation. I hope this helps.

OH YES! That sounds like a bladder infection...Have had them several times and the longer you wait the worse it gets. If you have the urgency to go but hardly anything comes out at times...probably an infection. The Doctor will recommend that you pee directly after intercourse. Some times things will get into the urethra during intercourse and so if you make a habit of going pee right after, it will cear out anything that may have gotten lodged in there. Not the most romantic thing to do right after....but nothing romantic about suffering a bladder infection. They say that cranberry juice helps....I myself would do diluted pomegranet juice (diluted also helps and is not as sugary and so better for your system down there as well) and high doses of ordorless garlic pills (a natrual antibiotic) followed with lots of water 4 times a day. I am not huge on taking a lot of medications so I would do this home remedy and as long as you catch it early, you should be fine. But once you get to the stage where you have blood in your urine (a little pink in your pee) then it's too late and will need to see your Doctor (not your gyno, they do not treat bladder infections). They will have you pee in a cup and test it for you. If your pee is cloudy, it's a strong indication that you have a bladder infection.

I keep lots of cranbery and pomogrante juice on hand and drink a diluted glass a day.

go to the doctor. You won't feel the egg implanting. Sounds like an infection to me. If you have the pain other times then you could have something else going on in the uterus, tubes or ovaries. ie tubal pregnancy, blockage, infection etc. i wouldn't wait at all if I were you. i would just go today to the doctor and have it checked.

E.,
Make sure that you are checked out since a bladder infection can get up into your kidneys and not be fun. Also, since you are extra active now trying to get pregnant, lots of bacteria can be pushed up into your urethra and so bladder infections are more common then. Going pee after intercourse has helped me not get another infection. Good luck....Also drinking straight cranberry juice is a good remedy and prevention.
Good luck,

Yes, it sounds like a classic bladder infection. I often get them when I have sex frequently and don't urinate immediately following. Bacteria get pushed up into the Urethra which leads to the urinary bladder.

Infections usually go away with cranberry tablets or a few big containers of the pure cranberry juice and lots of water. For more srious ones I have taken Cipro but have heard that it's very hard on the body. Just keeping up on going to the bathroom right after sex has prevented them for coming back for awhile.

If there is any chance you have a bladder infection, you should go see your doctor, as you want to keep that area as healthy as possible while you are trying to concieve.

Also, FYI, cranberry juice or pills only helps prevent bladder infections if they are taken regularly before an infection, as it changes the PH of your bladder. It will do nothing to help combat an infection. It may seem like it helps, but that is only because you are increasing your liquids (water is best) which actually does help fight the infection.

Good luck baby making, have fun!

This does sound like a Bladder infection, I get them often. Just be sure to drink a ton of Cranberry juice, the acid helps get rid of the bacteria. My doctor also told me to be sure to go to the bathroom after sex, this helps clean yourself. If it get worse or you notcice blood in your urine or when you wipe, be sure to see your doctor, if not treated it couold turn into a kidney infection.

Trying to get pregnant and having frequent sex?? Then you could have a UTI (urinary tract infection). See your doctor immediately for antibiotics. Infection can spread to your kidneys. A very painful condition. Drink lots of fluids. No caffeine. Unsweetened cranberry juice, or cherry juice which tastes much better. And be sure to pee after you have sex...every time!! Good luck.

Yes. That sounds like a bladder infection. If you try taking alka seltzer right away (very first sign) then it can relieve it sometimes. If you are still experiencing it, then be sure and go to the doctor. They can be come very painful.
