BlackBerry Bold or iPhone4

I called Verizon last night because my Bold stopped working as far as the external speakers. When I told them of the problems I was having, they told me I could get a new phone at the discounted price and they would give me a free month of service. So I can get the iPhone4 for $100. Not bad! I think I might do it - but does anyone have preferences? Good or bad things? I had a touch screen before and hated it (LG EnvTouch) but who knows if the iPhone is better. I put it on FB and a lot of people have said to get the iPhone so far...what's your opinion?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Well, I went ahead and ordered it. But I am going to give it to my hubby for Father's Day and I'll take his Bold sicne he has none of the issues I have. And then I'll upgrade in January when the next line is available for upgrade. I think he'll be happy! Thanks for the advice ladies :).

I honestly can't answer about the Blackberry.

We've had IPhones since they came out. I currently have the 4 and I love it. Daughter has 3Gs and loves it, hubby has the 3.

We have no complaints. I do suggest IF you get the IPhone, get the $70 Applecare package that is good for 2 yrs. This came in handy more than once with daughter's phone and instead of having to replace at retail cost, you only pay $199 or whatever the discounted rate is.

I have always been a blackberry person, until now. I have had 4 or 5 blackberrys and they always ended up crashing or not working right but it always seemed to be around the time that I was do for an upgrade so it was never a problem. Well I got a Bold 2 christmases ago and the software crashed on it last October, they sent me a new replacement phone for free because it was still under the 1 yr warranty. Well the replacement phone just crashed on me a few weeks ago. Guess what, they only warranty the replacement phone for 90 days (even though it was a brand new phone as well). So that being said, I have given up on blackberrys and have sucked it up and gotten a touchscreen and just have to get used to it.

I'm the opposite of the posters thus far - I'm a Bold fan. That being said, I've never owned an iPhone. I surf the Internet, take little pictures around the house to send to my hubby while he's traveling and we messenger quite a bit. That's all I really use my phone for - other than calls. My only caution: I got my Bold refurbished for free with my plan. I never did look up the actual replacement cost - and when I did - it's over $300 - for another refurbished model. Here's to hoping I don't need a phone for a long, long time!

iPhone 4! We are w Verizon and my blackberry storm died so I went w the iPhone! Never experienced another touch screen this fantastic before! My hubby has the bb bold and the iPhone is soooo much better. Word of advice- you can get a great cover for it by GTMax on amazon and the screen scratch covers for like 4 bucks total on amazon- don't bother buying them from Verizon and spending $30 unless they agree to throw them in free :) best to you!

I really like my iphone. the touch screen and autocorrect is hard to get used to but other than that, so glad I got it. I would take the $100 deal!

I just made the jump from BB to iPhone 4.

I love almost everything about the iPhone except for that damn touchscreen keypad. I miss my BB for that reason.

Now, I have it for work, and I use it mostly for email. So kind of depends on if it's personal use or not.

The apps are super cool, though! I have a few that I love, and I'm discovering more to distract the kids when I'm out and about and need them to sit still! My 3yo loves bowling, angry birds and a matching game that I found!
